I shrug. "I'm going to be gone, for a long time. I just hope I'm back for when the baby's born. But I don't know. Don't tell Rin, but I don't know if I'm going to come back at all. I doubt I'll be welcome there so I don't know. I should think it'll be fine, but I can't tell for sure."

i decid not to try and convince him that he human, knowing it'd lead to another argument. i nod and put on a weak smile. "please be careful. for rin and your baby, i want you to know what it's like to be a parent. if i love it then i know you'll love it. just be careful. please."
