"... I see," I say after a bit, trying not to look at him with too much disgust. "So your family are decent blood traitor types but you turned out bad anyway?" I guess, shaking my head. "Nice world we've got here." Belatedly I realize I said all that out loud, but decide that I really don't care... much.

"You mean there's 'decent' blood traitors out there?" He replies bitterly.

"Quite a few of them," I nod, deciding maybe he's just misinformed. "Where did you hear that they're weren't, if I may ask?"

He snorts at the thought of there being 'decent' blood traitors,"There's no such thing,"

I give a snort of my own in return, shaking my head. "That's a pretty close-minded thing to say. I mean, I'm willing to admit there's decent Slytherins, decent Death Eaters even." I almost can't get those last few words out, and curl my lip in distate, then shake my head again. "So why not decent blood traitors?"

"All the decent ones are the weak ones, the worthless ones."

I look at him in distaste again, shaking my head. "Decency makes you weak then, does it? You know Dumbledore must... dunno how he gets through the day, worthless as he is."

"Dumbledore is a fool," Perry says simply,"Plan and simple, seems he'll let anyone into the school nowadays,"

I snort bitterly, shaking my head. "You know, I might actually have to agree with you on that one. All the fucking death eaters and murderers running around that place. War has gone to hell, clearly doesn't know what he's doing. Maybe dearest Dumbledore has finally lost his touch."

"I say he never had control over this place to begin with, he's a fool and because of him innocently people, students, are dying." He grips his bottle tightly,"Flithly muggle lover,"

I find it strangely hard to disagree with him, despite the fact that I've admired Dumbledore all my life and the flash of anger when he says 'filthy muggle lover.' Dad was a filthy muggle lover. But to be perfectly honest, he's making sense. "Maybe Dumbledore is caring more about the muggles than his students," I say with a snort. "Needs to get his priorities straightened out." In the back of my mind is the thought that To hell with all the muggles, let them all get slaughtered isn't something I'd normally think, but I ignore it. If Dumbledore was doing his job my sister wouldn't be dead now, and if I have to blame the muggles for that, so be it.

"He's a fool that Dumbledore," Perry mutters. Which is why I serve the Dark Lord His eyes shift to his left arm, where the mark was burned into his skin."And the Ministry are bigger fools letting him stay, should have sacked him years ago,"

I nod in agreement, though a part of my mind is strangely disturbed by his glancing towards his arm like that, as if the gesture should possibly mean something to me.

Perry mutters bitterly under his breath, taking another swig of firewhiskey.

I glance down at my firewhiskey, shaking my head in disapproval, then notice thoughts creeping in that I'm really not too fond of. "So you've lost a lot of family then?" I ask, somewhat less than tactfully, just wanting to be saying something.

"Yeah," Perry nods,"Blown to bits thanks to a certain mudblood loving blood traitor," He mutters, not bothering to hide the bitterness in his voice.

"Hm." I nod in sympathy, partly wanting to protest against the words he's using but figuring it'll do no good anyway, and also wanting to ask for details but deciding that would rude. "Sorry to hear that," I say instead, shrugging uselessly.

I eye him for a moment, trying to decide whether I want to get involved. "What exactly did she do?" I ask finally, curiosity getting the better of me.

"What did she do?" Perry asks, incredulously."More like what she didn't do. It's cos of her, our family is so fucked up. It's cos of her we were labeled as 'blood traitors' and cast aside from our fellow pure bloods, it's cos of her we were forced to fake our deaths and go into hiding, due to the fact certain 'people' began coming after our family members blowing them to bits." Perry's voice gets slightly louder and angrier."and she did the worst thing of all, she tainted what's left of our pure blood by having a child with a mudblood!"

It takes me a moment to gather that he is apparently talking about a family member, and my eyes narrow angrily when he gets to the last part. “So she had a kid with a mudblood and got you all labeled as blood traitors… so therefore it’s her fault your family’s dying?” I ask incredulously, feeling odd to be saying ‘she’ like that when I don’t even know who it is. “Sure you’re not blaming the wrong party here? From what you said the rest of your family doesn’t seem to mind being ‘cast aside.’”

"She's nothing more then a fuck up," He snaps."We have fucking murderers on our trail 'cos of her.. Perry snorts disbelievingly."It's cos none of them no any better."

I shake my head slowly, deciding not to answer lest I start feeling too involved. It's none of your business who the kid blames.

I glance at him swiftly before looking away. Gotta be making that up, or he's a bit of an idiot, I reassure myself, figuring he wouldn't just blurt it out like that if it's true. For all he knows I'm an auror.
