I shrug. "I'm not really sure...." I turn away from him slightly and the spider starts to move again, heading roughly toward the vial. "There? You see? You scared him."

I laughed slihtly, "Am I that hideous?" I asked her chuckling slightly as I watching the spider crawl into the vial.

I nod, somewhat distractedly, and carefully set the cap on the vial so that the spider can't get out but will have plenty of air. "You're disgusting," I say briskly, looking up again when I've finished this. "Hate to break it to you, really, but someone had to."
