You know, I spend more time on the grounds than in class, I think musingly, lying on my back with my arms under my head.
That's because it's safer outside though.
I shrug and look up at the clouds, remembering how Arden always saw the creepiest shapes up there... dementors and lightning and death, the little weirdo. I smile slightly at that, then let it slide away.
Why can't she forgive me? Why is she the only one who gets to change?
I shrug again and keep looking for shapes, determined not to be anything but content at the moment.

I walked out along the lake, skipping classes and saw someone laying on their back and decided to join them. "Hullo." I said laying down a little ways from him.

I walk down to the lake to get some fresh air. I really needed some. "Wow its so pretty out here," I say. "Ooff!" I say as I trip over a guy who was on the ground. "I'm sorry!" I tell him.

"Ah, he- ow!" I start to say to the first girl before the second trips over me and jabs her leg into my side. "Nice to meet you both then," I say weakly, rubbing the sore spot and laughing slightly.

I gave him a weak smile and scooted closer, then patting the ground next to me for Samantha to lay down on. "And YOU will be Mantha until I think of something else." I shrugged lightly.

I close my eyes, willing myself to stop shaking as I take deep breaths.
"Fine," I say after a moment, eyes still closed. "Just a little jumpy." I smile at them, hating how stupid I look when I do that.
