i was sitting on the shore as the tide was coming up slowly. my jeans were soaked and bill was already in the shallow water, it only went up to his thighs. i had amy in my lap and puting hr feet in the water every so often. i knew that soon i wouldn't be able to spend as much timw with her as i was. peter had found her a mother. "i'm gonna miss you." i say softly to her. i smiled and kissed the top of her head. when i looked up i saw bill with a big glop of dirt in his hand. he put some of it in his mouth and looked over at me, still having a good amount of dirt in his hand.
"put the dirt down.." i say slowly looking at him. he let it fall from his hands and back into the lake. "now spit it out..." i add, just as slow. he opened his mouth and it fell out of his mouth. "there we go." i smile and put amys feet back in the water under me and then brought her back in my lap.
