I had been planning this for weeks. There was supposed to be a massive meteor shower tonight and I wouldn't miss it for the world. So, with a blanket in hand, I marched my way to the edge of the lake, spreading the blanket over the grass and laying on my back, staring at th cloudlesss night sky, watching the stars.

Tonight was the night of the meteor shower.
I'd been looking forward to it for ages.
I head out into the grounds to get a better view, abandoning my usual perch in the astronomy tower.
I sink down against a tree, keeping my eyes firmly on the sky.
I wouldn't have noticed if the rest of the school had been out here, as far as I noticed it was just me and the sky.

Hearing her footsteps, I look back at her. "It's more comfortable down here if you prefere."

I jump and tear my gaze away from the sky to see a girl looking up at me.
I smile and sit down next to her. "Here for the meteor shower?"

I take a deep breath...and set the telescope on the ground. "Well, i'm doing a paper on how fast meteors move in a meteor shower, and my telescope has a picture takening camera on it, so i'll figure it out later...I'm sorry i'm such a science geek...i get carried away some times...so what year are you guys in? I'm in my 7th year in Ravenclaw." As i set up the camera on the telescope.
