Plotting Against the Dark Mark

I sit in the middle of the floor, where all of Violeta's old candles were. I sigh and look at how the manor had changed over a period of six years.

"To think I was practically raised here, with all of the family..." I say in a low whisper. I stand up and walk over to the plush floral couch and sit down with a huge cloud of dust flying off.

What family? All of us are practically gone, along with the family name...and what have we done? Absolutely nothing against him. Were completely defendless. I thought as I look down at the dust covered glass coffeetable. I feel a couple of tears roll down my face.

After a few minutes I heard footsteps behind me. I instantly draw out my wand and sit there prepared for the worst.

I didn't stop walking but put my wand away to say I wasn't here to hurt her. "I was told to come and get your help." I said, sitting down on the floor cautiously. "Shelby told me to."

"Shelby? Oh Rubalyn." I say slightly staring at her. I never seen this girl and wasn't sure if she was to be trusted. "How do I know you were sent by Rubalyn?" I ask her, still my wand out, but at my side just in case.

"I don't know, ask her." I said simply. "She told me to come here for your help before I went after Father Crescent, as far as I'm concerened, I'm fine and can walk away now, without you." I said and sighed.
