We had now finished walking around Hogwarts and were now at the lake. "Lily can you please close your eyes?" I asked her. I hope she likes what I'm going to do.

Lily raised an eyebrow, wondering what he was going to do, but clcosed her eyes all the same. "Alright, just make sure I don't bump into anything." She said, chuckling a bit.

She closed her eyes and led her to a little cove with a waterfall, making sure she didn't bump into anything. I pulled a picnic basket out of one of the trees and set up the picnic so you could clearly see the waterfall and the tree with hundreds of fairy-rings around it. "Open your eyes," I whispered.

Lily could hear the soft hum of water, and a the rustling sound of James moving around What is he up too? She thought. When she heard him whisper for her to open her eyes, she slowly did, and was completely speechless. "James... it's beautiful." She finally managed to say. Smiling, she looked around and took in the gorgeous scene around her.

"I love it." Lily managed to get out, in barely above a whisper. "A picnic too? You are really out-doing yourself, Mr. Potter." She joked, sitting down on the picnic blanket.

Lily couldn't help but smile. There was something about James being nervous that was just adorable to her. Egotistic, idiotic, James Potter, nervous. She reached for a bright red apple and bit into it, humming quietly to herself.

"Thats a nice song you're humming. What is it called?" I asked still slightly nervous. She must think I'm a complete idiot or something. I always stutter around her. "But I guess thats natural if you're around a girl who you think is the most perfect girl ever to walk the face of the earth," I muttered to myself, hoping Lily couldn't hear me.

"What? Oh, it's nothing." She said, blushing a tad pushing back a stray strand of hair that had fallen into herself. Oh god, is there something in my teeth? Why'd I choose an apple of all foods? She mentally cursed herself.

She looked slighlty worried about something. "Is something wrong?" I asked concerned. She looks so pretty when she blushes. "Why can't I just tell her how perfect she is?" I ask myself, a little louder than I was supposed to. She didn't seem like she noticed though. I hope she didn't hear me.

"Oh, no, I'm fine." She said, giggling nervously. I guess he had good intentions this whole time... she thought, completely forgetting about her plans to murder Molly. Lily heard James say something, but it was to quiet to fully hear it. "What was that?"

Was this even Lily? The old Lily would never kiss James Potter... but the 'new' Lily didn't seem to mind... she was enjoying it. Where had this new Lily come from? Most would probably say Mars... Slowly, Lily broke the kiss and whispered "Remind me to thank Molly." and smiled.

"Nope." Lily said, getting up and walking towards the waterfall. She didn't even care how un-lady-like it was, as she started to climb up the waterfall. Once at the top, she took one look down before cannon-balling right in. Not caring the least that she was fully clothed.
