Lewis walked purposefully up the steps to the big house, his eyes skating over the grand structure. Of course. Pure bloods. He swallowed the sudden surge of bitterness and raised his hand to knock lightly on the door. It wasn't his favourite part of the job, informing parents they were unfit parents. It was usually accompanied by crying and pleas. He pretended it didn't get to him. He was a liar. But the job must be done. By someone. And who better than him? Who knew first hand what unfit parents could shape a child into? His resolve strengthened and his regrets disappeared. Yes, he was in the right. He knocked again and heard the sound of a baby crying. He was in the right place at least. "Hello?" He called impatiently, knocking on the door once more, "Hello?"
{Eheheh, Charlie's plan is put into action...}

My stomach lurched again, as I grip the side of the toilet. Breathing hard, I sit up, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand. Alex is crying in the background. I groan, leaning forward again. After washing out my mouth, I drag myself to Alex's room, picking him up gently,"Your okay baby." I whisper softly, rocking him gently back and forth. He squirms furiously, still crying. Biting down on my bottom lip, my eyes catch sight of the words carved into my arm, before faltering slightly. 'Broken.' I draw my attention away from my arm and back to Alex who was recovering from a cold. That was one of the reasons he was so fussy. "Come on Tiger cub, don't."

Growing impatient with the lack of answer and hearing the baby still cry, he drew his wand, unlocking the door with a spell. This failed and he frowned slightly. Security conscious unfit parents? He used a spell with more force, so it knocked the lock out of the door and the door swung open and he smiled to himself. Much better. "Hello?" He came to a stop a few feet into the hall, looking up and calling out loudly and clearly, "Is anyone here? Hello?"

I frown immediately as I see that the door is wide open on my way up to the house and quicken my pace without thinking about it. I knew I shouldn't leave Maddie and Alex at the moment anyway...especially not now. But I needed just a little while out of it. I pause in the doorway as if I'm in the intruder rather than him, "Who the fuck are you?"

I frown, hearing the door slam open. Hoping it was Ian, I don't risk taking Alex with me if it wasn't. Setting him back down in his crib, despite his screaming protests. "Shush baby," I whisper softly, putting the stuff lion down next to him, so he wouldn't feel so alone. Pushing my hair back off my forehead, I step out into the hall, slipping my wand into my pocket, never could be too sure. With Perry's threat still firm in the back of my head, I close the door to Alex's room for extra caution. Walking down the hall, I lean over the side of the railing, looking down into the front hall. "Ian?"
