Claire grins to herself as she hurries up the path to the house Matt had told her about.
She had to meet Chris' girlfriend for herself.
She knocks on the door, then unable to stop herself positively hammers on the door, "Chris' girlfriend!" She yells, "I mean-...Ian's girlfriend!"

I open the door seeing a girl I've never seen before.
"Um...hello?"

She laughs, her voice filtering through clear as day into her head, "Yes it is indeed his name again. There's a whole lot of us with his name back in Ontario. We call ourselves family. And I would be his older sister, and I feel it is my duty to come and meet his girlfriend even though he explicitly told me not to."

"Yep, I have Liam, he's 2 now and damn right evil." She laughs, "And I end up looking after Matt's kids cos he goes off on this wild goose chase saying 'oh, I'm going to go find our brother, look after my kids for me, Claire' so I ended up with Paul and Dawn too. And then I get an owl saying, 'Claire, I found him, get to England now' so now my poor husband's left at home with three small kids and I'm here, pissing off my brothers again and it all works out really and wow that was a really long sentence and I really need to breathe..."
