[Madeline Speare]

"Yeah, it's what your here for, thanks."

[Arden Patricks]

"You're welcome," I nod, smiling slightly. "I've decided that's the point of life, actually. Since it doesn't seem to have one otherwise. We exist because other people exist."

[Madeline Speare]

I nod,"That's a pretty good reason. Personally I think we're here, 'cos someone needs us."

[Arden Patricks]

"Kind of the same, isn't it?" I frown slightly. "How do you mean?"

[Madeline Speare]

"I mean that whole 'everything happens for a reason' saying. I think we're here 'cos we're meant to help someone."

[Arden Patricks]

"Makes a sort of sense," I nod. "Maybe even a better way of explaining what I think, actually."

[Madeline Speare]

"You do think it sounds kinda corny?"

[Arden Patricks]

"... No," I shrug. "It sounds... I don't know. It's as good a reason as any for existence."

[Madeline Speare]

"I perfer it better then the whole, everyhing happens for a reason."

[Arden Patricks]

"Especially when have the time that reason seems to be that some malicious deity got bored," I mutter. "No... I very much prefer your idea also."

[Madeline Speare]

"Yeah, from now on I'm using mine instead."

[Arden Patricks]

"And I'll continue to use mine because it's similar but makes more sense to me," I nod. "You know I actually got Ian to agree with me on that? That people are the reason we exist?"

[Madeline Speare]

"Wow, congrats on that. We barely agree on anything."

[Arden Patricks]

"Just broke him down with logic," I shrug. "So what do you agree on, if it's not much?"

[Madeline Speare]

"He never listens to my logic, and his logic doesn't like me." I laugh."Few things, we disagree on a lot more though."

[Arden Patricks]

"Logic has emotion now?" I frown slightly. "That's a little odd."

[Madeline Speare]

"It's just us really, we're pretty odd. Doesn't believe me that when I yell at the ceiling milk's going to fall."

[Arden Patricks]

I laugh at that. "No, I wouldn't either. Unless it actually did. But you know... you're stranger than I thought you were."

[Madeline Speare]

"If you ever meet Charlie Owens he'll tell you how strange I really am. He should know, he's my other half." I grin.

[Arden Patricks]

"And how did you get split?" I ask automatically, before realizing what a strange question that is.

[Madeline Speare]

"He came from his mum and I came from mine," I laugh,"Nice random question."

[Arden Patricks]

"Too used to trying to one-up people with cleverness," I say, shaking my head. "That... and sleep is good for you, I guess."

[Madeline Speare]

"Got to learn to blurt out random things, stick with me and you'll learn fast." I laugh.

[Arden Patricks]

I laugh. "Trying not to say anything silly or irrelevant, actually... so does that mean I should avoid you?"

[Madeline Speare]

"If you must," I laugh,"They say you live longer the more you laugh though."

[Arden Patricks]

"Yes, I've heard that too," I nod. Not sure I want to live that long. I smile slightly. "I don't really see how it's supposed to work, but I have heard it."

[Madeline Speare]

"I like that thought," I grin.

[Arden Patricks]

"It's certainly a cheery one, yes," I nod.

[Madeline Speare]

"It's good in these dark times."

[Arden Patricks]

"... Yeah, I guess it is," I nod. "Or at the very least, laughter in general is good, even if it doesn't have unusual health effects."
