I sat on the sofa, cross-legged, opposite Bill, who was drooling on one of the moth eaten cushions.
I learnt the hard way to keep him away from Melvin and Gertrude so he had to stay on the sofa, looking bored.
Molly had run off, leaving me with Bill and then Isa had said she'd help but then we'd kind of had that argument, or whatever it was, and now I was stuck baby-sitting with no clue how to do it.

"Uncle Gee-gee lied, didn't he Bill?" I say, hands closing convulsively in my lap, now unable to even look at Bill, let alone Fabian. "Uncle Gee-gee told Auntie Isa that he didn't love her and it would be easier if she just stopped loving him too, didn't he Bill?"
