"Melvin! Gertrude!" I call, cheerfully, kicking the door in the right place to open it and letting Isa in first. "I brought someone to see you!"
"Please excuse the state of disrepair and my belongings thrown everywhere." I chuckle.

"Barely." I laugh, flicking the light to have nothing happen. "Oh well, it's light in here anyway...kind of." I chuckle, stumbling forwards to rip open the curtains.

I smile. "Well, you're welcome any time. Now where have those roaches got to? Melvin? Gertrude? Oh Lord, they better not be in my bed again!" I say, suddenly realising that's where they could be, and running down the hall towards my room.

"I'm trying to train them not to but-...oh guys!" I sigh, shoving Melvin off my bed. "No, wait-...just the one. Where's Gertrude? Well, anyway. That's Melvin." I say, prodding the small dog sized roach with my shoe. "He's the friendly one."

I look at the overlarge cockcroach. "Don't you think it's a bit weird when they're this big?" I ask. "And using them as guard dogs." I laugh

"Er...yeah, kind of weird." I laugh. "But they didn't want to leave, so I figured I might as well keep them. And when they're bigger they're easier to spot so I don't sit or stand on them or something. That would be sad."

I laugh. "Yeah, you've got me there. I've never tried to cuddle Melvin or Gertrude. I think they might eat me if I did. Now, come on you," I say, guiding Melvin out of the room with my foot. "No more sleeping in my bed or I'll have to pry your shell off your back."
I lead Isa out of my room and shut the door behind me so Mel couldn't go back in.
