As Amiee walked aimlessly through the grounds, she could tell she looked odd. I won't admit it. She turned left and started to walk...somewhere. She couldn't hear the lake, she couldn't hear anyone walking near by. She couldn't hear anything besides the wind. "They must have rearranged this or somthing..." Amiee muttered to herself. She refused to admit it. She was lost. Just then she heard some leaves shaking, so she put her arms out. Good for her, or else she would have run into a tree. She kept her hands on the bark and moved around it, but ended up sitting against the tree. "I'll just hang here..." She said, with a small smile on her face. I was never lost...I wanted to sit behind this tree. But this was only a fix for her pride.

I'm sitting in a small patch of trees with my Arithmancy book when I hear what sounds like footsteps and potentially a voice. I look up with a slight frown and notice a girl, vaguely familiar looking, sitting down with a smile against a nearby tree. You do that, I think in response to what she says, hoping that she's not going to talk any more. Clearing my throat with a small cough, I return to the book and try to find my place.

Amiee soht her head up, and strained her ears to hear somthing else when someone coughs. She doesn't ask who's there, or try and figure out who it is. She already stuck out enough because of being blind. Amiee went to the pocket of her jeans, and pulled out her wand, setting it on the ground next to her. All the weak and helpless feelings she had for being lost, left in an instant. Don't trust what you can't see...

After a minute or so it starts to bother me that there's somebody there and they're not saying anything, so I look up from my book and narrow my eyes, trying to place her in my mind and figure out why she's familiar. Hm... Meh, mih... no... Amy? Something like that. And I recall having seen her in Potions.... Yes, that's it... fellow Slytherin. I nod, then pause since that still doesn't explain why she's just sitting there. Why do I not pay more attention to my housemates? I shrug, not wanting to break the silence and initiate conversation, so instead I return to my book and try to ignore her presence.

After a few minutes of silence Amiee can't take it anymore. She hated not knowing who was there, almost as much as being lost. "Who's there?" She calls out straining her ears. She feels around the ground, trying to find her wand again. Amiee ends up just knocking it away from herself. "Damn it..." She mutters and run a hand through her hair.

I get so absorbed in my book that I jump a little when she finally speaks, and frown at her as she starts moving her hand around on the ground next to her, knocking her wand away. Oh.... She can't see, can she? Numbskull, I berate myself for my lack of paying attention. I clear my throat. "Fitzy Patricks... and your wand is just a hair to the right and maybe four inches behind you," I say, narrowing my eyes at it. Is she one of the people who hates me? If so I probably would have recognized her earlier, right?

She nodded a thank you and picked up her wand. "Fitzy... Do I know you?" She asks. "You're name seems familiar." She adds. Amiee sticks her wand back in her pocket but keeps it so she can get it out quickly. "Umm...can I ask you somthing though?" Amiee says, not believeing that she was about to ask for help.

"Uh, sure you can," I shrug, slightly on guard. "And I'm pretty sure we're in the same year and house, so that might explain the familiarity," I say with some amusement in my voice. "Though I'm sorry to say I can't remember your name."

"My names Amiee." She tells him and trys to stand up, gripping onto the tree. Once she's finally on her feet, Amiee brushes off herself and keeps one hand on the tree just so she knows where it is. "Would you mind telling me where I am..." She asks him. "I-I...I think I'm lost." She adds just barely loud enough for him to hear. It hurt her pride to have to say that.

I nod, storing the name in my mind and relieved it's not something I don't want to answer. "Uh... well, the school is slightly to your right and ahead, quite a ways away... and the lake is somewhere to your left, and the forest is ahead and to the left, more or less." I shrug. "I don't know if that helps any," I say, determined not to say anything pitying or condescending.

"No that helps.." Amiee answered, but it was a lie. She thought she had just come from the school, which was behind her. She knew he wasn't lying or anything...She hoped. "Which direction are you in?" She asked, glad he wasn't pitying her.

"Facing you," I say, nodding. "Are you sure I'm any help? I'm lousy with directions."

"Well you didn't try and send me in the oposite direction for a good laugh did you?" Amiee asks as she walks over towards him slowly.

"'Cause that would be hilarious," I say sarcastically, then think back on it. "Well, actually it might if you annoyed me greatly." I eye her cautiously as she makes her way over, wondering if I should give directions and deciding that I'd better not.

"Well then I hope I don't annoy you..." She chuckled softly. One Amiee thought she was near where he was sitting she sat down. "Am I close?"

"To me?" I ask, then nod. "Pretty close. 'Bout as close as I can usually stand, actually," I smile slightly. "You are a seventh-year Slytherin, right?"

"Not to bad for a blind girl, 'eh?" Amiee says with a small smile. "Seventh year Slythrin." She nods

"Guess not," I say, smile faltering uncomfortably before I shrug. "And in that case, you ought to annoy me, but I guess we've just never run into each other. You're not new...."

"No.." Amiee says, "But my brother used to come here. Just hung out with them. So damn protective, think I can't do anthing for myself." She chuckled

"Austin was a Slythrin," Amiee said, "But James was a Ravenclaw. They're both graduated. Austin left last years." She says. "You have an siblings? Just out of curiosity." She said with a small smile.

I smile slightly at the repeating of my own words back at me, and nod. "Yeah, I've got a...a... a sister," I say, getting caught for a moment on the 'a' as I try to make myself say that I've got two but can't quite bring myself to mention her. "She's a hufflepuff... sixth year." I pause. "You and your brothers are pretty close I guess?"

Amiee sits there, trying to decide weather or not to ask him why he had to make himself say that he had a sister. Better not...Just leave... "Yeah, we're close..." Amiee says. We're all each other has... She would never say that to anyone. Amiee would never say that.

I nod again. "Well that's good. I guess. Although you probably miss them." I shrug, registering vaguely that she can't see me anyways but also that I don't really do it to be seen normally.

"Yeah, I miss them a lot." She said softly. "So what kind of trouble do you cause?" Amiee asks him leaning her arms behind her to be a bit more comfortable.

I nod at the first bit, feeling bad for her, then frown at the second. "Trouble? What do you mean by that? Who says I cause trouble?"

"Ah..." I laugh slightly. "Well, the ways in which I used to cause trouble aren't things I enjoy anymore, so..." I shrug slightly. "I guess I'm pretty boring. Mainly I just walk around, read... practice magic. That's about it."

"Well better than this one kid I talked to. He was yelling like I was thick and deaf." Amiee said, "What?! Is?! You?! Name?!" Amiee chuckled, but didn't yell like he had.

I nod, slightly thrown at first because I'm not sure how what she said is related to what I said. "Right... 'cause that makes sense. Kind of like talking to foreigners in really slow English with weird accents. Why do people do things like that?" I ask rhetorically.
