So, You're A Baby, Huh?

[Gideon Prewett]

"So..." I say, sitting cross legged in the shade of the castle, "You're a baby, huh?"
Clear had let me take her-...our daughter out for a while, bonding and all that.
It had seemed a good idea at the time, but now it was kind of awkward.
She was still very little, and she didn't speak much, or at all.
Just sat opposite me and looked at me with those big eyes, the same colour as mine.
She did look a bit like me, I guess.

[Molly Weasley]

"hey gid." i say walking up to him with bill right behind me. "she's cute." i smile looking down at the girl. bill looks at her and ppokes her softly on the arm.

[Gideon Prewett]

I smile awkwardly. "Yeah, I guess she is."

[Molly Weasley]

"only guess?" i chuckle and kneel down next to her. "so who is her mum?" i ask and move some of the hair out of her face and smile at her. bill goes over and sits next to gid and looks up at him. "gee-gee" he says

[Gideon Prewett]

"Hey there, Bill." I smile, "Her mum's Clear Corman. Remember that girl, brief fling, right before me and Fabie left."

[Molly Weasley]

"yeah. i liked her. she was cool." i smile "what's her name and how old she is?" i ask. bill walks over to her again and sits infront of her almost sitting on gid feet. he points at her and looks up at me. "mum?" he asks. "that's a girl. like amy. remember?" i chuckle "a-me?" he asks and i nod my head. he smiles and looks over at the little girl

[Gideon Prewett]

"Her name's Kimberly or Kim." I say, watching her uneasily. "I don't know how old she is. But...she doesn't say much, or anything really, but she sits up and walks around a bit. This is weird Molly. I don't think I like this being a dad thing."

[Molly Weasley]

"huh?" i ask as soon as i hear the 'dad thing' "you-...she-...clear-...you and clear-..." i stutter. i pick kim up and set her in my lap. i look between her and gid. they're eyes were exactly the same. i smile slightly. "it'll grow on you." i say after a long silence. i look at kim and smile down at her. "i'm your aunt molly." i say to her. "what does this mean now for you and clear? are you to gonna get together or you sticking with izzy?" i ask

[Gideon Prewett]

"I don't know what I'm going to do." I sigh. "I don't really know Clear anymore, and I love Isa. But now there's Kim and I don't know what to do."

[Molly Weasley]

"well i'm in the same situation." i sat with a soft chuckle and look down at my bluging stomach. "i love onix, but the baby is arthurs. even if he did abandon it completly, it's still his." i sigh, "i'm going to go cliche on you. follow your heart, not your head. you can still be kims dad with izzy. i don't think she'd mind." i say supportively and rub kims back and kiss the top of her head. "you a pretty girl you know that?" i say softly to her still smiling

Kim looks up at Molly not saying a word like normal, smiling at her.
"I feel awful." I half-laugh after a moment. "Just leaving-...I've felt bad for leaving since we left, but now I feel really bad."

[Molly Weasley]

"it's not your fault gid. you didn't know. right?" i ask but know he didn't he would have told me. or at least fay then fay being the blabber mouth would have told me. "i pretty much hate myself for having to leave him for a while, but i have to." i say look down at bill

[Gideon Prewett]

I clench my fists without really meaning to at the mention of Molly going off.
"Molly, if you get hurt-..." I force myself to look away from her. "You want to end up like me? I can't do anything anymore because of what they did to us. I'm useless, I can't run, I can't fly, I can't even protect the people I love. Be careful, Molly."

[Molly Weasley]

i set kim on my hip and walk over to him. i make him look at me and i smile weakly. "i'll be fine. i'll come back. i promise." i say softly and set kim in his arms. "and gideon, don't say you can't protect the ones you love because your protecting her right now." i say and pick bill up. "gideon your not useless."

[Gideon Prewett]

I laugh sadistically. "Yeah, I'm not useless. I let my friends get crucio-ed, I can do nothing for the Order anymore, but yeah, not useless at all." I say sarcastically, taking a slightly firmer grip on Kim automatically, not wanting to risk dropping her.

[Molly Weasley]

i let out a frustrated groan and run my free hand through my hair. "look gideon." i say, "weather you choose to believe it or not, your not useless." i sigh but say anything else about it because i know how he is. "and gid, just relax. you won't drop her. just relax." i sigh seeing him hold her tighter.

[Gideon Prewett]

"I'm going to drop her, or make her cry or something Molly. I'm not good at this."

[Molly Weasley]

"if your not good at this then listen to me because i am." i say, "now the only way you'll make her cry is if you don't calm down and relax. babys can tell if your tense then that get's them tense and upset. and gid just trust yourself. you won't drop her. if anything trust me. but if still think your gonna drop her hold her like this." i say and sit down and set bill in my lap so it's like i'm a chair to him.

[Gideon Prewett]

I sit down, putting Kim gently on my lap.
"I don't think she likes me." I say after a minute. "She doesn't say or do anything when I'm around. Not like with Clear. She runs around all over the place and laughs all the time. But she doesn't say or do anything when I'm around."

[Molly Weasley]

"give her time to get used to you. she's just shy." i say, "just give her time." i smile then look down at her again. "you like him don't you?" i ask smiling. she nods her head slightly, but only slightly. "see." i say with a proud smile on my face

[Gideon Prewett]

"Only a little." I smile, feeling slightly better. "You'll be as loud as a Prewett in no time, huh, Kim?"

[Molly Weasley]

"it's in her blood." i chuckle. "but gid she'll come around. i bet by the time i'm back she'll be daddys little girl." i smile

[Gideon Prewett]

"That's what I'm afraid of."

[Molly Weasley]

"why?"

[Gideon Prewett]

Because I doubt I'll be around much longer.
"You know how unreliable I am. I don't want to let her down."

[Molly Weasley]

"again you try and hide the real reason. tell me." i say

[Gideon Prewett]

I shake my head stubbornly.

[Molly Weasley]

"tell me." i say just as stubborn. "gideon i don't want to act like a child in this but i will if i have to and i'l do a-" i say but stop myself and put his hands over kims ears and put my hands over bills. "and i'll do a damn good job of it."

[Gideon Prewett]

"Act like a child then. It'll give me good practice." I say, still equally stubborn.

[Molly Weasley]

"tell me now." i order trying to keep my cool.
