lost

i stumble slightly on my way down the highstreet. it's unfamiliar, but it's bound to be as i've never been to this place before. i've never really tried hard to be a part of the magical world. i regret that now because i am irrevocably lost.
there are things in window displays that don't look legal or pleasant and intimidate me into a state of anxiety that is bordering on fear. but it's not fear. not yet.

you're a grown man, kristopher. you do not scare so easily.

i wish i could believe my own mind sometimes.

you've faced much worse than this before.

this i know to be true, so it sets my mind at ease if only a little bit and i pause for a moment to get my bearings before carrying on down the street, straightbacked and confident in the hope that someone might believe i know where i am and i belong here.

Panic continued walking down the gigh street, with his fag in his mouth.
Wish people would just shut up....
It's nice and quite here....
He thought quietly to himself, shoving his hands in his pockets and carried on walking.

so intent on keeping my eyes at the end of the street; my much lusted for destination, i walk directly into someone walking the opposite way.
"uh...sorry." i say after a moment, giving myself time to work out what's happened.

Panic lost his balence slightly but regained it, "Nah, that's okay mate. You seem a bit lost?"

[Kristopher Turner]

"uh...yeah, just a little bit lost." i nod glancing around.

[[Panic] Amiel]

"You want me to help?" Panic asked. "Oh, I'm Panic Amiel, by the way." He said, putting a hand out to shake.
