Luke shoved his hands into his pockets as he made his way down Knockturn alley. It wasn't a place most people would feel comfortable, and he'd have been lying if he said he was completely at ease but it didn't bother him as much as it should have probably. His fingers brushed lightly against the cool wood of his wand in his pocket, reassuring him that he was okay, that he would be okay. Nothing could hurt him if he had his wand and his years of training and field work to back him up. He liked to amble down streets like these, home to the darker edge of the wizarding world. He was less inconspicuous than some of his colleagues, being a former Slytherin himself and looking like someone who wasn't a stranger to this sort of experience. Because he wasn't.
Sometimes you wish you were.
Be quiet Voice.
He ducked past a crowd of crones that huddled by a street corner, discussing something in whispers and ignoring him as he passed, and briefly into a shop doorway. He stuck his lip out ever so slightly and blew upwards to clear his hair from his eyes without having to withdraw his hands from his pockets and glanced up and down the street, trying to decide what to do next. Before he could come to a conclusion however, the owner of the shop he was currently standing half in and half out of, was shooing him back out onto the street again. He shot him an irritated look but stumbled back into the street, turning to go back the way he'd come as he made his mind up in a split second. Then, predictably for him, he crashed right into someone walking the opposite way.

Blaise's hands were shoved down roughly into her hoodie pockets. The one gripped on tightly to the elongated object in her pocket. 'A wrong turn, that's all it was.' She jittered to herself. Now, Blaise wasn't your average girl. Things didn't scare her like they would normally scare others. But being down in Knockturn Alley wasn't her idea of a 'peaceful walk'. Being in Slytherin, one would normally think she'd be at ease here. That definitely wasn't the case. All the stereotypical shit was indeed wrong. Blaise knew what kind of people hung around here, and she felt obligated not to associate herself with them.
Her brows furrowed together with indignation. By jove, she'd find a way out. If it took her the rest of her day, she'd get out. But right now, she was focused on something else. All this thinking made her senses flitter away somehow. And she ended up crashing right into someone walking out of a shop. "Sorry, sorry..." She mumbled, picking herself and preparing to continue walking on. You weren't supposed to make eye contact with the people around here, correct?

"Oof," Luke mumbled or something like it,, having the wind knocked out of him as he hadn't had a chance to brace himself. It was hard to knock the wind out of someone so tall and broad if they'd been expecting it after all...but as it had taken him by surprise... "It's fine," He replied after clearing his throat, glancing at her briefly, then back at her again as he realises she's a lot younger than him, "What are you doing down here?"

Her hand automatically moved back into her hoodie pocket. With her fingers curling harshly around her safety net, just in case she would need it. "Nothing nothing, got lost is all." She quickly responded, wanting to make her way back on the track of getting out of this place. Of course, if the two were in a place less, inconspicuous, she might have stopped and made conversation with him. But she didn't know who he was, what he was capable of, or why he was down here in the first place. Nor did she really intend to stick around and find all the information out. Blaise knew she could be dead by then. It had happened to so many other people she had known, why not her?

He raised a suspicious eyebrow. Most people were so focused on not coming down here that very few people got lost here. He'd learnt by now to suspect everyone, even if they looked student age, harmless. "Oh?" He glanced briefly up the highstreet in the direction she was going, "Then I wouldn't recommend that way."

"Well what way would you recommend, then?" Blaise asked in a huff, looking in the way she was already going. It seemed like it got darker in that direction anyway. She didn't know what to do at the moment, however. Suppose she took his advice and ended up getting even more lost?

He rolled his eyes.
Ungrateful students. I don't see why you bother.
"Back the way you came," He nodded in that direction, "There's an alley way, looks shit scary but it's usually clear so it's the safest way out. Leads to Diagon Alley eventually." He shrugged a little and made to carry on past her, not much caring if she took his advice or not. He'd done what he felt was right at least.

Blaise shook the hair out of her eyes once more and nodded her head. She stalked off into the direction he suggested, "Right-O..." It came out barely audible, under her breath. Turning the corner she continued up the alley way, now taking her wand out just in case. Being focused on what was in front of her, she tripped roughly over something beneath her. "Lumos!" Blaise shouted, a spark of light exploding from her wand tip. Her eyes glared down to see what had broken her stride. But when she looked, her eyes merely widened as she let out a loud shriek, not really giving a fuck who would hear her and come running. She stared into the vacant eyes of a dead body. {ooc: sorry, but I'm off for a little bit. Byes }

Luke carried on his way, shaking his head ever so slightly and resisting the temptation to roll his eyes again.
Fuck-headed teenagers...
He heard a loud shriek and stopped dead in his tracks, glancing round to see that no one else was overly bothered by it. He was however, and immediately started running in the direction of the sound, his wand drawn before he'd taken more than two steps.
Lumos.
His wand flared into life the moment he entered the alley way and he didn't stop at what he saw, processing it while he was still moving. He barely acknowledged the girl he'd just directed, instead dropping to a crouch next to the body and grabbing it's wrist for a pulse. Priorities were priorities after all.
[ooc-okay. no probelm.]

Blaise pushed herself up against a wall, slowly sliding down it and landing on the ground. Now, she wasn't one of those girls who were scared of damn near everything, but this... This was different. Never had she, nor had she planned to, see or be even within vicinity of a dead body.
'Well that's what I get for getting lost...' She sighed to herself.
Honestly, Blaise didn't know what to do. She sort of just stood off to the side for the time being and let whoever was there, handle it. Looking up, she noticed it was the guy she had talked to previously, only a matter of mintues ago.

"Fuck," He murmured, barely moving his lips at all and throwing the dead limb out of his grasp. He stayed still for a moment, watching the corpse with an unreadable expression. He'd seen his fair share of bodies in his profession, but it'd be a lie if he said it was ever any less harrowing. He glanced up at the girl, straightening up, "You okay?"

Blaise pulled her eyes away from the sight once more. She clenched her stomach, feeling sick right now. With a quick nod of the head, she turned her whole body away. "Are they...?" The question came out in a whispered, her tones hushed and worried.
