Draven was about to snap his wand in half today. The class was supposed to be transforming a pocketwatch into a bird, which wasn't as easy as it had sounded. He muttered the words to the spell, and swished his wand at the item, but something always seemed to go wrong.
"Damn this thing..." Drave muttered, his eyes trying to burn a hole through the watch.

Peter laughed slightly when he heard what the guy next to him muttered. "You're not waving your wand right. At the end, you have to pull it out further." he offered.

Drave furrowed his brows, "Well that's stupid..." He replied to the guy sitting next to him, waving his wand as he told him to and seeing the pocketwatch transform into a bird, "Heyy, thanks!" He laughed and held out a hand to the guy.
"Draven Slayter." Drave introduced himself.

"Draven Slayter," He nodded his head, "Nice to meet you as well." Drave matched his grin and let his hand move back down to his side.

Peter smiled. "You're a Ravenclaw, right?"

"Yup, seventh year. And I think you're in Gryffindor?" Drave asked him to be sure.

"Awesomeee." Drave chuckled slightly, "I'm not very good at this class, as you can see."

"On to normal questions from one teen around here to another...married? Kids?"

Draven looked at him, a little shocked, "Hell no!" He gasped, wondering if he even looked old enough to have kids. "Not married, no kids. Definitely not." Drave laughed nervously.

Peter laughed. "Good, keep it that way for a while. Trust me, it ends up sucking."

"Why... You're married?" Draven asked him. Of course he wasn't shocked or anything. In fact, it was quite normal to see little kids running around. People had babies like fucking rabbits at this school.

Peter rolled his eyes and nodded. "Yeah, got my girlfriend knocked up. That'd be my wife now. Plus twins from the girlfriend...two...no the third one back. Pain in the ass, but they give you something to talk about." Peter paused for a second. "Okay, that probably came out wrong. I love my kids, no doubt about that, but having to deal with them plus school kinda sucks."

"Daaaamn!" Was all Draven could manage to say, tagging on a small laugh at the end of his words. "That's crazy man." He shook his head. Honestly, Draven didn't see himself having kids until way later in his future.

Peter chuckled. "I know. None of them were planned, and they all kind of came as a shock. Actually, for the twins I didn't know they were born until they were a few months old, and didn't know about my son until his mum was like six months along."

"Geez! You were just left in the dark about your kids, huh?" Drave asked, shocked. He would have been breaking some serious bones if anything like that were to happen to him.

"Yeah, the mum of my kids decided to 'go into hiding,' letting me beleive she was dead, eleven months later one of my friends comes back to the Common Room with a baby, says she can't take care of it, so I say I will. Then one of my other friends starts talking, and gets me thinking the kid might actually be the one I thought died with my then girlfriend. Got a DNA test, and turns out it was. A month after that, my friend, the girls' mum's sister, brought the twin. And then with my son, me'n'my now wife were seperated due to stupid shit brought on by the war and really pissed off exes." Peter laughed slightly. "And that's a whole other story. Kind of funny, too. In a strange way."

Draven's mouth almost fell as Peter told the story. Some parts were confusing, but he pretty much got the joust of it. "Holy shit." Was all he could manage to say. "I swear, if I had a bottle of liquor right now, I would have downed it all just hearing about that." Drave said honestly with a little laugh. Now he definitely imagine himself with kids. Things nowadays with the whole war and crap were so complicated.
