I smile. "But I love it. I wouldn't want it any other way..." I say to him.

"Hence the insanity," I nod. "I mean you're not insane just for having them."

"Then what do you mean exactly?" I ask him trying to figure out what he was exactly saying.

I shake my head. "Never mind. Probably mildly cruel anyway."

I sigh. "I'd rather you say, then keep it to yourself making me wonder." I say to him. "I can take cruel honesty."

I shrug. "It's more like cruel joking, not really anything that needs to be said."

"Alright then..." I say stirring my ice cream around a bit.

I nod. "I could make something up if you like, and pretend that it's what I was going to say, so then you don't have to wonder what I was going to say."

I laugh a bit. "You're crazy. It's fine, don't worry." I say with a smile.

"All right then." I grin slightly. "How is that crazy though?"
|
|
|

"No, I just said that you're crazy yourself. For actually letting me sit here with all eight of them in this small booth." I laugh now a bit.

"Ah... yes, mildly crazy." I shrug, looking at all of the kids. "They're small though."

"They're all under the age of seven." I say to him, wth a small smile.

"That might help explain it," I nod.

"I'd say so. It would be werid if they were like jolly green giants. But that would be sorta awesome." I say with a smile.

"Wha-? Jolly green giants?" I ask with a half-amused sort of frown. "When are giants jolly and green?"

I laugh. "It's a brand name of muggle food. I forget the song though." I say with a grin.

"I see...." I nod, looking at her oddly. "Well... I'm glad that your children are not the brand name of a muggle food, then. What kind of food, by the way?"

"Usually vegetables in cans." I say to him with a smile. "Why?"

"Why did I ask, you mean?" I shrug. "No idea... just curious."

I smile a bit. "I take it you didn't have any kind of muggle items in your childhood..." I say softly to him.

I snort slightly, laughing. "No, I would say not... not very many. Did you?"

"I was raised muggle, but I had magical items too." I say to him. "I have a dark past as well. Most people would never believe."

I raise my eyebrows slightly, then shrug. "Lot of people have dark pasts, I suppose. Good for you... rising above it and all."

"Yeah..." I simply say, not mentioning that I still had the skills that I used when I wasn't with the order, or in azkaban.

I nod, deciding to change the subject slightly. "You know I did read Muggle books though, even though they were kind of banned. And my sister used to have a muggle-made doll she wouldn't part with for anything. Blew up my mother's teacup collection to keep it." I grin slightly.

"Oh wow... How did your mum take that?" I ask him shocked.

I laugh. "A highly amusing mix of horrified rage... and pride at the fact that she accomplished magic like that so early." My smile falters a little as I remember that was the night I had to start taking 'lessons,' for fear that if my younger sister showed signs of magic before I did, I might be a Squib.

"How old was she? four or something like that?" I ask him.

|

"Yeah, about that," I nod. "Just barely past her fourth birthday, I believe." I grin again - it had been incredibly amusing before the fallout. "Do you remember your first major sign of magic at all?" I ask curiously.
