I walk down Hogsmeade highstreet, hands firmly in my pockets.
Still angry as hell at what Logan had told her, still angry as hell she'd believed every word he said.
But not as angry as I had been.
More miserable than angry now.
You completely fucked things up-...
No Logan fucked things up for you.
Can't blame someone else for everything.
So what else are you supposed to do?

"Who needs to give you break?"

"The voices." I mutter.

[Sirius Black]

I notice how mad he looks,"Oh, voice eh? Never really got those, nope my mum and dad yelled at me enough."

[Ian Hunt]

"Voices. Personally I think they both hate me. They can be added to the list of people who hate me. It's getting be quite an impressive length now, would you like to go on it as well? I'm sure I'll fuck up again and you'll hate me. In fact, talk to Maddie and you'll probably be added as well. No better yet, talk to Logan and find out all the horrible things I've done which I didn't do and he just made up on the spot and believe all the bollocks he spouts and condemn me as well." I say irritably, without meaning to.

[Sirius Black]

"Oh boy, this doesn't sound good." I mutter,"Look mate, I don't hate you. Come on, what's up? Maddie, Logan what's all this about?"

[Ian Hunt]

"She believes him over me. She believes that fucking lying twatheaded-..." I stop, running out of insults, "He fucking tortured her. But then he suddenly comes out with all these...atrocities I've supposedly committed and she believes every single fucking word. She thinks I killed her parents for fucks sake!"

[Sirius Black]

"She what?! Oh fuck sake, MJ..."I groan putting a hand to my forehead,"That is pretty bad mate, you try..talking to her? Or was she her usual self and completely blow up at you?"

[Ian Hunt]

"I talked to her in the astronomy tower before I knew what was wrong and she slammed me against the wall and yelled at me for killing her parents. So I denied it. She called me a liar and yelled some more. So I yelled back and left. That's how it went, I think."

[Sirius Black]

"Jesus Christ..what the hell is wrong with that girl?" I mutter."I can't believe her...did you do it? Sorry mate, just gotta ask."

[Ian Hunt]

"Kill her parents? No. Her cousin's kid, yes. A lot of other people, yes. To be completely honest. Kind of comes with the death eater territory, you know?"

[Sirius Black]

"Yeah, guess it does." I mutter,"I don't get it..what the hell is up with Maddie, I don't know why she's do that to you...I know her parents are a sensitive issue and she's never liked talking about it but...to say you did it.."

[Ian Hunt]

"Well, I don't know either. But I don't suppose it matters much anymore anyway."

[Sirius Black]

"Ah come on man, not this running thing again." I groan."Look she's just..okay well for once I'm not gonna take her side, she had no right saying that..but come on man, you still love her right?"

[Ian Hunt]

"Which is beside the point. I'm not running because of that. I was taking off anyway. Me and my friend Will have some shit to take care of back home. Just I was planning to come back here before. Now there's not all that much point in coming back so I think I'll just stay away."

[Sirius Black]

"Ian the baby..you can't. You can't do that, look you two always figure this stuff out, you always do. Come on mate, don't..." I plead.

[Ian Hunt]

"The baby. The baby would be a whole lot better without me anyway. I can't do this. I couldn't do it last time. I can't do it now. I just can't. I'm better off on my own. I always have been better off on my own, I was just being stupid even thinking about staying here. And right now, I need to go home to appease my son of a bitch hag of a mother so she can yell at me that I should have died instead of my brother, then I need to go and help my friend put into the apocalypse into operation, then I need to go and start again somewhere where people let the past stay in the fucking past."

[Sirius Black]

"Ian come on man...you love her that your kid mate, you can't just take off, you can't let her do this by herself. Yes I know what she did was...completely out of line but..come on mate. You love her."

[Ian Hunt]

"No, I don't. It was stupid to even think that I did." I mutter, not even believing the words as soon as I'd said them.

[Sirius Black]

"You don't mean that." I say putting a hand on his shoulder,"What if I talk to her? Try and make things better? I hate seeing you guys like this, you two work. You do, come on mate."

[Ian Hunt]

"Talk to her all you want. It doesn't matter to me."

[Sirius Black]

"That's a lie and you know it. Whatever happens you two are gonna be together, you just got to be." I say,"You guys...well you give other couples hope, that's what everyone's saying."

[Ian Hunt]

"Well, everyone's obviously wrong, aren't they? She says she doesn't even know me, or who I am or anything. That's hardly hope inspiring."

[Sirius Black]

"Well at the moment's our dear little Madeline Jane is completley bonkers, so don't listen to her. You guys work, even if I don't want to admit it. You two are complete opposites, and you two click. Fucking scary really, and, like Fay use to say, a love like that doesn't come round a lot."

"Gid used to say stuff like that too." I mutter. "Used to tell me to stick around too. Said I've got an awful lot around here worth staying for."

"Yeah, well they were brothers they knew what they were talking about." I say throat tightening at the mention of Fabian."Look mate, you do have a lot her, you honestly do. Just..talk to her? Try to at least? Please? For the baby Ian...give it some thought huh?"

[Ian Hunt]

"I have given it some thought. I've given it a lot of thought. I'm going back to how it was before. Just me. That worked better."

[Sirius Black]

"Now listen here." I growl grabbing him by the front of the shirt and slamming him against the wall,"You are not abandoning this kid got it? You can be pissed off at Maddie all you want, but don't you dare take it out on this kid. It deserves two parents who will love it, even if they don't love each other. No real man will walk away from his kid."

[Ian Hunt]

"Well, that makes me not a real man then. The kid will be better off without me. Maddie can find some other guy to help her with the kid and no one need ever know about me. That's fine." I say, shoving him back and away from me, "Don't you talk to me like you understand any of this because you have no fucking idea."

[Sirius Black]

"The fuck I don't." I growl resisting the urge to punch him."I'm geing fucking shipped off to fight in this godforsaken war! I have a family, a baby. A son! And I have to leave! I don't want to leave, that's the fucking difference between you and me. I want to stay, because I actually give a fuck about my kid and the mother. Because they're my family, and I love them! Your scared, and your running, I'm just as scared as you are. Maybe even more, but I actually want to stick around, but unlike you I don't have a choice."
