"What? Love-stuff?" I ask, being sure to say it fast so that it almost blurs together. I shake my head, partly in an attempt to get rid of all the memories conjured up by the thought of myself and Arden making faces and talking together... back before she got new friends.
"Stupid childish word. Only she would keep on using it. Probably still feels exactly the same way as when we were eight." Or thereabouts.
