I took a deep breath as I stood outside the gates of my new school. My family had just transfered to England from France. I wasn't sure what to expect from Hogwarts. All I knew was that it was a co-ed magical school. Back in France, I had gone to Beauxbatons Academy. It was an all girls school so there was no time to even think about guys.
I took another deep breath and walked into the Enterance Hall. I looked around me. People passed me. They didn't stop and stare at me like I thought they would. I was greatful, but still very nervous about being here. 'Why did we have to move,' I thought walking aimlessly down the hall, 'Especially when I was just in my last year at Beauxbatons.' I stopped and leaned up against the wall watching other students pass me. I was officially lost.

I smile at a lost nervous looking girl making her way down the hall, "Hey, you alright?" I ask her.

I looked to see who had addressed me. It was a guy. "No, I'm afraid not," I replied, "I just moved here from France with my family. So I am new and I'm kinda lost."

"Oh right," I smile and hold out a hand, "Well, I'm Charlie Owens. Graduated Gryffindor. Can I help you find your way at all?"

I took his hand and smiled back. "I'm Sasha Anderson," I replied, "I should be fine. I just have to explore a little bit and get use to the place, but if I need any help I will ask for your assistance."

"Well, aren't you polite?" I smile, "Maybe I'm just not used to manners though. Do you know what house you're in yet?"

"Yeah, I am in Ravenclaw," I replied, "Why?"

"I was just wondering. I like to guess people's houses before I know for sure. Would have gone for Hufflepuff in all honesty, but yeah, Ravenclaw. Cool."

"Oh," I replied, "From what I've heard, I rather be in Ravenclaw than be put into Slytherin. The hat considered me for there because of certain aspects in my personality, but I am glad Ravenclaw won over Slytherin."

"Yeah, me too. Not that I wouldn't be talking to you if you were in Slytherin...just me and the general Snake population of this school have never seen eye to eye."

"Isn't there a rivalry between the two houses?" I asked.

"There is, yes. Very much so." I nod, "But you can't judge a whole house really, can you? I know some very nice Slytherin's...just not altogether that many." I laugh slightly.

"I know that feeling," I said, "People judge one another too early before even getting to know the person. I really hate it when people do that to one other. I mean, we are all the same inside, but just with different looks and qualities on the outside."

"Precisely. But on the other hand, it is hard not to judge people, especially in a schooling environment like this one with such clear house divisions."

"That and what type of blood one carries," I responsed back.

"That too." I nod, "Unfortunately. Pure bloods thinking they're better than everyone else bugs me."

"Geez, thank for the sterotype," I replied.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I stereo-type a lot. My parents thought they were better than everyone else cos of our blood. But I'm not really like that."
