Crystal sat in a part of the forest, close to the entrance just incase. She had a book on her lap and she was reading silently to herself. Her blue eyes flickered up momentarily to see a small bird on the ground. She frowned and placed her book on the ground hile standing up on her knees and 'crawling' over to it. "It must have fallen or something," She muttered to herself as she looked at it. It's wing was looking quite odd and she looked at it in concern. It was a quite pretty bird. She carefully picked it up and sighed, "Poor thing.."

Rylan headed out toward the Forbidden Forest. He had heard that people definitely shouldn't go in there, which made it all the more fun to check it out. As he walked through the thick bramble, he came to a small clearing not far from the entrance. To his left, he heard a little noise and went to investigate.
In front of him was a girl sitting on the ground, tending to what looked like a little animal. Ry walked up to her, hoping not to scare her, "Uhm, are you alright?" He asked her, seeing as how she was on the ground.

Crystal jumped slightly and looked up only to see a boy, maybe a year or so older than her. She let out a breath and nodded, looking down at the bird, "I'm fine. I just seen this bird injured and thought that I could try and do something. But I can't."

"Oh, geez." Rylan commented, kneeling down on the ground next to the girl. He whipped out his wand, racking his brain for one of those healing spells he knew. Muttering a few words and pointing the wand at the bird, he repaired it's crooked wing. "There, that should do it..." Ry stated, nodding his head.
"I'm Rylan, by the way." He smiled, holding out his other hand to the girl.

Crystal looked up and smiled, placing the bird back on the ground carefully. She grinned fully when it started to fly away, "Thank you, I didn't know what to do with it." She shook his hand and said, "I'm Crystal, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Glad to be able to help, poor little thing." Ry commented, watching the little bird fly happily away. He felt good to be able to help it out. It wasn't often Rylan had a chance to do nice things for other people... or animals, for that matter.
"Rylan," He nodded, smiling and letting his hand droop back down to his side, "Nice to meet you too."

Crystal watched the small bird and sighed, "Makes me feel bad that I didn't know how to help it, because of my lack of knowing spells. But I'm glad it's better, really, thank you. Makes me feel better." She looked over at him for a moment before saying, "Not to be rude or anything, but why were you out here? No one is supposed to be out here..though I guess I shouldn't be talking, I'm out here too..wow, I'm a rambling idiot." She shook her head then laughed, "Sorry."

"No problem..." He shrugged his shoulders, a light smile gracing his face. Ry thought it a little odd that the girl didn't know any spells. Especially since she didn't look much younger than himself. "Naw, don't worry about it. I just like to come out here for the adventure." Rylan laughed and sat down on a nearby tree stump.
