I snuck out of the castle after dinner, and started wandering through the Forbidden forest. It was starting to get dark out, almost twilight, but you could barely see any light coming through the trees.

It was nice to finally get away from everyone for a while. I came out to the Forbidden Forest; obviously no one would be there. My feet dragged me over to a tree and I sat underneath it. Every now and then you could hear twigs snapping, like someone was walking through here. I swiveled my head around.
"Anyone there?" I call softly.

I looked up. "Why, who are you?" I called softly towards the dark figure I saw under a tree, where the voice seemed to be coming from.

"Uhm, Sage?" I answer stupidly. My eyes were straining to see who was talking out of the blackness, "You be who?" I asked, starting to stand up in my spot.

"Peter." I said, moving towards the now standing figure. As I got closer I saw that is was someone vaguely familiar, I think i'd seen her in the common room before.

"Pettigrew?" I asked, scarnning the the forest from side to side. My eyes were finally starting to adjust to the darkness.
Peter Pettigrew... I thought. The name sounded somewhat familiar. There was a good chance he was in the same house as me. Of course I was never that good at remembering things like that.

"Yeah. Peter Pettigrew. One of the infamous Marauders." I said proudly, moving up so I was just a foot or so away from her, now able to see her features. "You're in my house, right? Gryffindor?"

I nodded my head, then realized he probably couldn't see me doing that, "Yeah, seventh year." I replied moving so I could actually see him now.

"Oh, fun. I love how you can spend years in the same house as someone and not know their name."

I chuckled lightly and shrugged my shoulders, "It happens." I grinned, extending my hand toward him, "Nice to meet you, though."

I smiled and shook her hand. "You too. Why are you out here?"

"Had nothing better to do." I sighed, and sat back down on the ground, "'Sides, it gets too cramped in that castle every now and then."

"Mhm," I nod my head in agreement. It was getting a little chilly out so I pulled my hoodie on. Honestly, I didn't know what time it was and I didn't plan on going back to the castle any time soon, "Is that what brings you down here?" I ask.

I shrugged. "I just needed to get out of there. I left two of my kids with my sister, and the other two with one of my friends. It's just not right to send four kids to the same unexperienced person. A lot as happened recently, and I kinda just needed to get the hell away from that castle."

I nodded my head again, sort of understanding what he meant, "Nice to just get away and think, y'know?" It wasn't like I had kids, but things go on for people and they sort of need to get away from it all. Just for a little while, anyways. You can't always run from your problems...

I smiled at her. "Yeah. You have kids?"

"No, no!" I said, shaking my head furiously back and forth, "Seventeen. Don't need kids at the moment..." It felt a little strange being asked that. Seventeen was way to young to have kids. For me it was anyways. Maybe it wasn't for other people?
Probably didn't need to shake my head so fast... I thought to myself.

I laughed. "I know what you mean. Some days I wake up and ask myself where the fuck my childhood went. I mean, I'm 18 now, but it's not that big a difference. But it's not like I could just abandon my daughters after their mum already had, and I suppose I could find another, childless, friend of Molly's to take care of her boys, or possibly their father, but I love her and them too much to disrespect her final wishes."

"Wow, you're very mature for your age." I laughed, my eyes widening a little bit, "I, on the other hand, am not." A grin spread across my face from ear to ear. Serioulsly, I was very immature for being seventeen.
Might as well enjoy it while it's there...
