Lazy

[Blaise Mitchells]

I sat with my back against a tree near the water. Peeringly idly into the vast black lake, I see a shadow lingering behind my own.

It was quite odd how well the water reflected things; for as dark and menacing as it seemed.

[Erin Row]

I walk out by the lake.
This place was so big.
There was no hope of finding him.
I sigh, coming to a stop on the bank, not really noticing that there was a girl sitting by the water just a few feet in front of me.

[Blaise Mitchells]

I whip my head around to see a girl standing a few feet behind me.

"Oh, hi." I call over my shoulder.

[Erin Row]

I jump, looking at the girl by the water.
"Oh, sorry, hi," I say, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "Sorry to disturb you, my head's not with me lately."

[Blaise Mitchells]

Chuckling slightly I reply, "No, its fine. We all get a little crazy sometimes."

I laugh and gesture for her to take a seat.

[Erin Row]

I smile and sit next to her on the bank. "Er...I'm Erin by the way." I smile, holding out a hand.

[Blaise Mitchells]

"Blaise." I reply, shaking her hand, "What brings ya out by the lake?"

As if she needs a reason I think to myself, laughing inside my own head.

[Erin Row]

"Oh, just wandering, thinking. How about you?" I ask her.

[Blaise Mitchells]

"Heh, getting away from all that is civilization." I scoffed, "It's as if no one wants to be around me anymore."

Rolling my eyes, I realized how stupid a statement that was to tell someone who didn't even know me.

"Sorry, I'm telling you my whole life story here."

[Erin Row]

"It's alright. Go ahead and tell me. It's sometimes easier to talk if you're talking to a stranger." I smile slightly.

[Blaise Mitchells]

"Thanks." I smile back.

Words of reassurance felt good right now.

"It's just like I said, no one really ever talks to me anymore. I feel like I fell of the face of the earth. As of right now, there's only one girl who talks to me outta the whole goddam school."

I frowned and attempted to fight the anger that was attempting to take over me.

I was winning.

[Erin Row]

I smile awkwardly, I knew what that was like. "No one much talks to me either. But at least you've got someone right? That's got to be worth something."

[Blaise Mitchells]

"Well, I'm talking to ya. And your talking to me." I laugh, "And yes, she's a truly great person; my other friend."

I sigh a bit.

"I feel like I take her for granted though and that eventually she's gonna stop talking to me too..."

[Erin Row]

"If she's a great friend, like you says she is, she won't. What's her name?"

[Blaise Mitchells]

"You have a good point." I agree, "Her name's Morgan, Morgan Thomas."

[Erin Row]

"That's nice. I've never met her. I haven't met many people yet."

[Blaise Mitchells]

"Oh, well, you will eventually. Everyone tries to make themselves known around here." I laughed.

[Erin Row]

"Ah, then I'll definitely meet people."

[Blaise Mitchells]

I shift slightly.

"Exactly my point." I roll my eyes a bit, "So, what can we do for fun around here?"

Hey, I gotta lighten the mood somehow...

[Erin Row]

I shrug. "I'm new. Was hoping you could tell me."

[Blaise Mitchells]

"Hah, yeah sure." I laugh, "Well, let's see, there's nothing, nothing, and more of nothing"

Shrugging, I begin to stand up, "And that's about it."

[Erin Row]

"Well, that's a bundle of laughs."

[Blaise Mitchells]

"Oh, most definately." I smirk.

[Erin Row]

Her smirk sets me on edge slightly.
Just like most smirks did.
Hated the facial expression.
I smile awkwardly.
