Garth sat in the living room, one leg crossed casually over the other as he glanced around at nothing in particular. The place was falling apart, a mere illusion of it's former grandeur. It was sad. He was sure if his brother could see it now he would not be happy with what his sons, niece and nephew had done with the place. Which was evidently, nothing at all. Just left it to fall into a state of disrepair.
Despite how casual he appeared on the outside, his grip around his wand in his pocket was the only thing that betrayed his angst. The many emotional blows he had suffered in the past few days, did not bother him as much as they should. In fact they did not bother him at all. His daughter, gone, well so was the other one. He was once again childless, it wasn't as if he'd considered them daughters for a long time anyway, merely as nuisances to take up space in the house. His nephew's death, the last biological tie to his second oldest brother, that did not bother him as such either. What bothered him was that his eldest brother now saw fit to come home.
Garth would be foolish not to be frightened. Joshua's temper was renowned, emotionless outlook; sinister and worrying for all. Even those closest to him. And there was simply nothing he could do to prepare himself. So he'd just have to sit and wait, growing more anxious by the minute, not having any idea what to expect with the return of the eldest still living Hunt.

Joshua slid his hands onto his youngest brothers shoulders from behind him, moving closer and hissing in his ear, voice no more than a sinister whisper, "Boo." He'd been standing behind him for a while now. Garth's casual outer appearance may fool other people, but it could not fool Joshua. Nothing about his younger brother could fool Joshua.

Garths heart beat quickened, but he did not jump or act out in surprise in any way at all. He knew better. Instead he slid to his feet, straight backed and full of his own self importance, every inch the prestigious pure blood man he was. "Joshua," He inclined his head slightly in a sign of marked respect for his eldest brother, "I hope you travelled well."
