Claire staggered out of the room her and her sister were sharing while they stayed with the rest of the family and shot a dark glare back through the door which was answered only by a cheery wave.
"Licking people is not a sign of affection!" She insisted from the hallway.
"Is too!"
"You're a disgusting specimen of humanity," She told her twin, shaking the sleeve of her jumper down over her hand and trying her best to wipe her cheek where Leney had licked her after yelling 'I missed you!' at the top of her lungs.
"Love you too," Was the cheery reply.
She was starting to think that nothing, nothing at all could spoil her sister's disposition, so she just shook her head and turned to walk off down the corridor when she walked straight into someone, a cousin no doubt.
"Oops."

"Whoa, slow down there Clairebear, where's the fire?" Keria laughs slightly, pushing back her hair. She had come home after receiving a letter from her younger brother, seems the family was falling apart by the seems.

"More like typhoon," She mutters, still trying to wipe her face and pointing into the room, "Her name's Jacqueline and she's mad."
Then she grins up at her cousin, "Nice to see you back. Charlie told me you were in Peru or France...he couldn't remember which. But nor can he tell the difference between you and Beth so nevermind."

"Ah, she been licking you again?" She guesses as she watches her younger cousin wipe her face.
She smiles slightly"I was in Peru, Beth was the one in France," She shakes her head,"God that brother of mine needs to get his facts straight."

"Uh-huh...she still hasn't grasped that it's not a sign of affection. I daresay Nate's not helping, they've been cornering people and licking them all week," She pulls a face.
"Peru huh? What's it like there? Is Beth back too?" She asks, grinning slightly.

"Oh you poor things," She laughs lightly, curling a strand of hair around her finger,"Peru's very nice, lovely people." She shrugs,"Suppose she is, haven't heard from her in a month."

"We survive," She smiles, then frowns slightly, "Oh."

"We are Speare's after all," She nods then watches her frown,"No, don't worry Claire. I'm sure nothings happened to her."
