Box after box, piled high in the rather small apartment. Emma hadn't saw the need to get a larger. It'd be her, and only her living here. Emma laid across the couch, feet up and some form of crackers sitting next to ehr on the couch. As she ate them, Emma became much to aware of how quite the apartment was.
No one else walking around.
No music playing.
No pleasent little chitter-chatter.
Everything that she had taken away from her, was now replaced with this painful silence.
Daniel had always made a way for music to be playing through the home. He had even sang along to most of the songs. Not very good, Emaa had often teased him about.
But now...The only thing to be heard was the distant footsteps of another in an apartment down the hall, her own chewing, and a small ringing.
Emma couldn't stand it. She even thought of trying to talk to herself, just to fill this silence. She let out a soft groan and sat up, looking around. Most of the things had been put in place. Picture frames. There were some of her wedding day, some little candids from the short marriage.
The funiture was all put in place, everything she needed. Emma had even gotten the sheets and bed spread on her bed.
"Now just to get these boxes out..." She muttered to herself. Still, she made no move to get rid of them.
She sighed softly and laid back down. It was to quite in here. She knew that when she woke up tomorrow, no one would be cooking something in the kitchen because they were trying to help her out. She knew no one would come and wake her up with a small kiss, and wide smile. She knew she'd wake up alone tomorrow morning, and every morning after.
And to Emma, that was what hurt that most.
