I nod my head as I continued to stir the rice. "But there's no sense in wondering now is there?" I mostly say for myself, not expecting an answer.
[[no not at all. I opened the door for a minute cause I wanted some water and my dad just dropped the box. lol]]

"I suppose not," I say. I stay quiet for a moment, then say eventually, feeling obliged to say it due to the nature of the conversation, "Did I tell you? I'm getting married."
[ooc-haha.]

I drop the spoon and look at him. "That's wonderful. When is it gonna be?" I ask trying to fish through the rice to get the now sticky spoon out.
[[it was quite funny. He shouted fuck really loud. I couldn't help but laugh and then he just smiled at me.]]

"Haven't decided. Haven't really got past the 'I can't believe I just asked that' stage," I admit, "Sort of said it without really planning it. Don't regret it though."

"That's a relief then," I smile, "Wish I'd sort of decided that I was going to ask before I blurted out," I laugh slightly.
[ooc- ;D MERRY CHRISTMAS!]

I laugh once more. "Jay took me to a nice restaurant and had the ring in a bouquet of yellow roses and white lilies which are my favorite." I say to him.

"He did?" I ask, "Oh shit," I laugh, putting a hand to the nape of my neck awkwardly, "And now I feel pretty awful."

I nod my head slightly. "Okay all that's left is to put the rest of the rice on their plates." I say walking back to the stove grabbing the huge pot filled to the brim of rice.

"You got quite enough rice there Shell?" I ask, with only the tiniest hint of sarcasm.

"Want me to help somehow else?" I ask.

Post by Shelby Chou on Dec 29, 2007 21:38:31 GMT
"No, that's it. Unless you want to help with a family matter..." I say softly to him.
[[hahaha. shelby's under the imperious curse. So everyone is off to fight Alex her father, so she can be free. lol]]

"You know I'll help anyway I can, Shell," I say seriously.
[ooc-lol wicked. can i join in?]

I look up at him and sigh. "Ian, I randomly get taken over by the imperious curse." I say trying not to cry. "But it only happens if my father has met the person, like Briar or Riley. All of them are going to fight, but I know the minute that happens, he's gonna control me again for I can't go against him..."
[[haha, of course it's in the griffis manor.]]

"It'll be alright, Shell," I reassure her, although not sure of this at all as I don't have a firm grasp of the situation, "There's a lot of people helping you out, right?" [ooc-righto. ]

"A fair few. But as I said I can't fight at all. You'll have to fight me." I say softly.

"Then that's what we'll do," I say quietly, having to use plural narrative rather than singular because I know that if it comes down to it, then I won't be able to raise my wand against her, "For the greater good."

I fall silent again, not sure what else there was to say, unable to shake of minor guilt that I've just gone ahead and volunteered for something possibly dangerous without thinking it through so well first when I have Maddie and Alex to consider as well. But I know that I would have come to the conclusion to help anyway, even if I had taken time to think it through.

"You don't have to help. You should talk to Maddie about this." I say to him, thinking I knew what was going through his head.

"No, no, I do have to help," I decide, "She'd understand." Maybe.

"Are you sure she'll understand..." I say twirling a strand of my hair, a nervous habit of mine.

"She will," I nod, half trying to confirm it to myself as well, "I mean, she might freak a little bit I guess..." I trail off, but nod again, "But she'll have to understand."
