History::
She was born Kaye Marlene Hunt, the youngest of her siblings and cousins. Often viewed as sweet and innocent, she never involved herself in the violent or morbid aspects of her family life and wasn't forced into it either, unlike her male cousins. She found at age 8, that she could read what other people were thinking. Terrified of her ability and what others might say she kept it quiet. Her and her sister were very close growing up, and they shared Kaye's 'secret' very carefully because they weren't sure how their parents were react. When her beloved older sister and protector accidentally let it slip to their oldest cousin about what Kaye could do, unsurprisingly he could not keep it to himself.
However, before Kaye could even get a chance to reprimand her sister for letting it slip, her father knew and took her aside. It was his opinion that having a reader in the family was dangerous, and something that could be exploited. His paranoia and fear that someone could see inside his head, forced him to come to the conclusion that something must be done. Her 'death' was the first of many familial eliminations of the old, sick or infirm. Locked in her room under the pretence of being very ill, she was cut off from her sister, mother and cousins; only allowed to come into contact with her father and uncles. She stayed in isolation for a matter of weeks while they decided her fate and thanks to her gift she was unsurprised when they decided to kill her off.
When her last day came, she was spared only because her Uncle Damian took her aside and gave her instructions for escape, told her to start fresh and never return. She followed without question, reading no trick in his head. She managed to escape and has still not returned. Although she still listens out for news of her family eagerly, despite their betrayal. She was devastated when she heard of her Uncle Damian's death and even more so when she heard of her sisters, despite the fact it was her sisters fault she came to be exiled anyway.
