I started chewing on my bottom lip softly, he's being so quiet...god James what happened to you? I thought and looked back to make sure he was still with me as we got farther into the woods.

I smiled at him and stopped to walk next to him. I was looking around, trying to remember how he'd found his way to the clearing the first time. This must have been the part of it when I'd stopped paying attention to direction.
