I look around the shop once, following him to the table, and shrug. "Well, yes. Mad-Eye is one of my heroes," I say, just to make absolutely sure that we really are talking about the same thing. I laugh slightly. "What are the chances?"

Gabriel grinned, he really couldn't believe it. What were the chances? He chuckled slightly. "Probably like winning the muggle lottery." He replied in a hushed tone and sat down on one of the two little wooden chairs, pulling his cup of tea towards him on the table and taking a sip. "And here i was thinking you were some lost muggle." He grinned again and pushed the other cup of tea towards her.

"No, just a lost witch who can't remember how or why she wandered out of Diagon Alley and has decided she truly despises those... vehicles... out on the street, whatever they are again," I mutter in a low voice, laughing slightly as I sit down and fiddle with the cup of tea. "So what are you doing out here then?" I ask curiously.

"Cars? Yeah, they can be pretty hazardous, especially to those who don't quite know what they are. Some of these muggles are crazy drivers. Not me though, i'm a pretty good driver if i can say so myself. I'm half and half so i get the best of both worlds." Gabriel grinned. "I was just doing some shopping for my cousin, i felt like doing it muggle style." He chuckled slightly.

I nod. “I have a friend who’s half-and-half and likes to dance in the street while the cars whiz by,” I say thoughtfully. “And I’ve always been curious about the muggle world, but not really allowed to be out here…. Is your cousin the one with the baby?”

"Wow that sounds pretty fun. I must try that out sometime." Gabriel laughed. "You're not allowed to be out here, why?" He asked, his eyebrows pulling together in confusion. "Yeah that's the one, i'm trying to help her out as much as i can." He smiled.

"That's good of you," I nod to the last part, then grin and shake my head. "I'm told that it's not the most intelligent thing to do, dancing in the street." Then I pause. "My... parents... aren't terribly fond of muggles or anything to do with them," I say carefully. "But I was disowned a few months back so it's all right now."

"Wow, harsh." Gabriel responds, very shocked. Arden seemed absolutely lovely, he couldn't see how her parents could disown her. But then again, he couldn't understand how any parents could disown their child. He shook his head slightly. He guessed Arden's parents were very strict purebloods. The type that didn't want anything to do with anyone that wasn't as pure as they were. "That must have been hard." He assumed.

"Being disowned?" I ask in surprise, unable to think of anything else I said that might get that response. "No, it's a relief, actually. No pressure to be like they are."

Gabriel laughed slightly at how wrong he'd been. He guessed it was because his parents were just perfect. He couldn't imagine having horrible ones. "I see where you're coming from there." He smiled. "Are they like really strict purebloods and all?" He asked.

I laugh slightly. "You could say that." No Muggles, no Squibs... serve the Dark Lord so that purebloods have everything.... "Yes, pretty typical purebloods. It feels good to be a blood traitor." I grin, belatedly remembering what Andrew told us but reasoning that if he's an auror and hanging out in the Muggle world there's probably little reason to be paranoid.

"I'm sure it does." Gabriel chuckled. "So you were talking about your school. I'm guessing now that you go to the same one as Bella. Hogwarts right?" He inquired. "I'm also going to bet that you're not a Slytherin. They don't usually tell people that they're blood traitors." He grinned.

I nod, then laugh slightly, shaking my head. "No, not a Slytherin. There are decent ones, I've discovered, but I'm still quite glad about not being one of them." Even though you probably could have been. "I'm a Hufflepuff," I say, with an apologetic sort of grimace. "How about you and your cousin?"

"Yeah i've met a few decent ones. I never was into the house rivelry much. But hey, Hufflepuffs are cool. One of my best mates at school was in Hufflepuff, great guy he was." He smiled, trying not to think about what had happened to his friend a couple of months ago.
"Bella's in Gryffindor, i'm not surprised though. Brave little thing she is." He grinned. "Me, i'm a Ravenclaw. Though i've never actually been that witty." He chuckled.

“Eh, maybe you just didn’t fit into the others,” I say, grinning slightly as if that’s reassuring. I shrug. “I guess Hufflepuff’s all right… I’m just not that fond of my reason for being there. I know a lot of good people from every house, though, so I’ve given up on house rivalry as well.” Though I still hate Slytherins a little more easily than anyone else.

Gabriel laughed. "Yeah maybe..." He smiled. "Though I can be smart at times. I'm apparently the geek of the family, just because I was sorted into Ravenclaw." He chuckled, taking another sip of his coffee.

I laugh slightly, shrugging. "There are worse things you could be.... Are you the only one, then?"

"Yeah, well half of my family are muggles so they wouldn't be able to attend Hogwarts. But my cousins have all been in different houses, mostly Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. One of my uncles was in Ravenclaw, and my cousin was in Slytherin." He replied.

"So you're not entirely the odd one out then," I nod. "I think most of my family have been Slytherin... got a half-sister who's also a Hufflepuff and I think my aunt was in Gryffindor. No geeks though." I smile slightly.
