Emma walked up to the home slowly, starring up at the grand mansion. She chuckled softly, just looking at it. She never would have thought Chris to have this big of a home. She glanced down at the address scribbled on a piece parchment, then check the address of the home. It was the same. Emma shurgged lightly, then cought sight of her wedding ring. She smiled briefly looking down at it, but it quickly faded. She had gotten married a short eight months ago. The happiest time of her life, but her husband was recently taken from her. He was a muggle, so it was just a simple crash of those darn cars. Emma still wore the ring, just for the sake of keeping his memory. Emma looked back up at the home, tearing from her memories and brought her small knuckles and knocked lightly. "Come on Chris..." She muttered softly with a smile on her face. she remebered the small little teenage boy when she had left Hogwarts but knew he was bound to have grown up. Emma just didn't know how much.

I stand in the hallway a moment, watching the door before I answer it. Lately answering the door has not boded well for me. I've been beaten up, ended up killing the person on the other side, and been informed I was going to be a father...again. So logically...if bad things come in threes this has to be a good thing. But it probably doesn't work that way. This could be anything. Something even worse than the previous three times I've got the door lately. I shake my head slightly, deciding not much can be worse and I have to restrain myself from twitching as I open the door. I can't help but relax slightly, realising I don't know the person on the other side after all. Until the memory seems to snap back into place and I realise...I do know her, of course I know her. "Em?"

"Chris?" Emma grins up at him. "God...You're finally taller than me." She teases and pulls him into a hug. "Been a while..." She chuckled softly. Something didn't seem right about him though. Something was....different. Emma couldn't place it. She tried to ignore it.

"About time I got taller than you," I grin, immediately forgetting all of my negative intuition about opening the door and hugging her tightly back, "It's been far too long."

Emma grins up at Chris and chuckled softly. "Aw...What is this?" She chuckled softly. "Did my little Chris get his man hairs finally?" she teased grazeing her hand under his chin. Of course Emma knew he'd gotten past the 'little man hairs' seeing as she could feel a stubble. "I've missed you.." She chuckled softly, knowing that she's already said it, but she's just to much in happines to say anything else. Chris was the only one she had trusted really. They were at the same orphanage, and had even been put in the same house.

"You're so weird Em," I laugh, "But yes, 'your little Chris' has grown up and he does indeed have facial hair unlike when he was a kid, funny that." "I missed you too," I grin, stepping back a little to see her properly, "You're all...you look well." If there was one thing I'd been sad about to leave when I'd been adopted, it had been Emma.

"But you love me the same." Emma laughs "Who woulda thunk?" She chuckled She flashed him a wide grin."You're looking well yourself." She chuckled softly. She brought up her hands lightly to her face and took in his appearnce, feeling the ring brush on her lips lightly. "Jesus Christ...Chris is this your house?" Emma asked looking around the large home. It was rather beautiful.

"How could I not?" I grin. I laugh softly, "I'm glad you think so..." Then I grin wryly, "You're wearing a ring on an important finger Em. Why was I not informed sooner of this?" But then I hesitate at her next question, the happiness at seeing her again deflating ever so slightly as reality closes back in, "Uh...no, it's my-...uh...no, I just live here."

"It's all but impossible." She grins. Emma smiles fades, but only slightly. "It was a small wedding...He was a muggle." She said looking down at the ring on her finger. "He died about a month ago." She said with a soft sigh in her voice. "Oh you just live here?" She chuckled softly looking back up at him.

"Oh," I say slowly, faltering for a moment before the words come out in a rush, "I'm sorry. I didn't know. I wouldn't have said anything. I-...how are you holding up?" Then I glance back behind me into the house, "Yes, I just live here. Do you want to come in?"

Emma nods. "Good as expected.." She shurgged lightly. "His family planned the funeral. Thankful for that. Don'tthink I would have been able to." She says with a soft chuckle tears stinging in her eyes as memories come to mind. "But yes of course. Bout time you invited me in." She say with a small grin, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.

I grin weakly back, hating to see her cry but not saying anything. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't want me to say anything about her crying. "My manners don't always elude me," I grin weakly, closing the door behind her.

"Sure they don't..." Emma, in a teaseing voice, as she chuckled softly, grinning back at him. "How old are you now? 17? 18?" She asked him putting on of her hands in her pockets, still in shock of the house.

"Shut your face." Emma laughs softly, "If I'm old then you're a cocky-needs attidude-adjustment 18 year old." She tease back. "And with that, Chris, I just won that little thing. "

Amma laughed softly. "Yes, there was just one problem though." She said. "My mother-in-law did not like me for the first couple of months after Daniel and I got married."
