Jay stood at the edge of the property looking up at the grand home. He couldn't help but grind his teeth as he walked up to the door and just starred at it. So this was where he lived, Jay thought bitterly. Images of Ian Hunt went through hs mind, having seen Ian at him and Shelbys wedding. Or at least the invitations. Jay couldn't think straight now. Shelby was out..Somewhere. God he wished he could say he didn't care.. Jay wanted that more than anything. All of the kids were at the house, Jake was watching them. His brother still didn't know what was going on. None of the kids either, but Jenny had been sure to add witty comments about Jay's facial expressions. Jay knew that when he was mad he had a face of stone. So serious, barely moving. Eyes cold as ice. Jay clenched his fists at his sides seeing his knuckles getting white. Jay didn't really come to hurt or try anything agaisnt Ian. No. He wanted to see the man Shelby choose over him. Why would she do this, Jay questioned himself. Just think Jay. What I've done everything for that woman! I've loved her more than anything! What did I do wrong? That was the one question Jay knew he'd never have the answer to. He brought his fist up, loosened it for a few moments then knoced on the door, now gritting his teeth together.

I sit on the couch in the living room, rolling the engagement ring between my fingers sadly. Yeah, this is it. End of the world. It's not the end of the world, Ian. I remind myself. But it feels like it. Any reality where Maddie has left me and Alex has been taken into care feels like the end of the world to me. I was moving in with Kristopher soon. Just a couple of nights here before I was gone. That was the plan. I feel like an idiot. Like I've thrown everything away because I've realised that I have feelings for someone who's married. Hello, married. What a stupid move. I don't just feel like an idiot. I am an idiot. An idiot going through the end of the world. I notice the knock at the door, and don't really stop to think before I get up and answer it. Stopping to think wasn't good for me right now.

Jay filded with his fingers when Ian answered the door. Ian barely looked 20, if even that. "Hello.." Jay muttered looking down slightly at him. jay was only an inch or half taller than this Ian, so it wasn't that much. Jay suddenly felt this anger inside of him. This was the man who had slept with his wife. Jay didn't care that Shelby had be apart of it to at the moment. All he could see was Ian and the anger building up inside of him. Jay was careful to cover it up though. "Ian Hunt?" He questioned, knowing full well it was him.

"Yeah," I nod. I don't even care enough to be cautious. Usually it didn't end up well if people I didn't know turned up on the doorstep and asked for me by name. Maybe he'll knock some sense into you. Or help with the ending of the world process. I ignore this. "You are?"

"Jay." he says simply, not sure if he should even bother to add the last name. He decides agaisnt his plan and opens his mouth to speak again. "Jay Chou." he says. "Shelby Chou's husband." He mutters bitterly. "You know her don't you?" He asks triyng to keep his cool and knew it was showing on his face.

"Oh," I say slowly. I know this isn't an answer to his question, which I've only vaguely heard after his name's sunk in. I manage to resist the urge to sigh softly, and just watch him calmly.

"Yeah Oh." He snapped. Jay takes a deep breath run a hand through his hair. "Please tell me you didn't know she was married. That you didn't know about me." He muttered bitterness coming back into his voice.

I decide there's really no point in lying here. "That would be a lie," I reply calmly, "I knew about you."

Jay laughs, but there's no humor. "Do you normally sleep with married women Ian?"

"No, that was a first," I answer, not even attempting to duplicate any humourless sign of amusmant that he's showing me. The way I see it there's no point in even trying to get out of this because it's done and honesty is probably for the best now.

"You're a son of a bitch you know that, right?" jay chuckles bitterly. He has no idea why he's laughing. Just from the anger? The hurt? jay doesn't know.

"That's not the first time I've been told that, so I'm forced to assume that yes, I am a son of a bitch," I agree. You're enjoying aggravating this man aren't you? You sleep with his wife and then piss him off...what is wrong with you?

What the hell is he doing? Jay lost his temper all together and pulled back his fist, punching Ian right in jaw.

I wince, putting my hand to my jaw and lightly feeling for damage. Not finding anything serious I look back at him with the same calm expression, "Done?"

I pull back the same fist and puch him again twice as hard then pull back the other slamming it into his stomach.

I wince then double over, grimacing in pain when he can't see my expression. Don't fight back. You deserve this. Don't fight back. I force myself to straighten up again, looking back at him politely once more.

When Ian gives him a polite look that sets Jay over the edge. He gets one last good punch in then leans against the door, forehead pressed againt it. Jay knew that beating this guy up wouldn't do anything. Help your anger... There was that. "Why did she do this..." He mutters.

I don't answer, as the question isn't directed me. I wouldn't have an answer even if it was. I really can't understand why she would do that. I still don't get it at all.

Jay takes a deep breath then looks over to Ian briefly. "Why'd you do it? You have a kid don't you? Girlfriend to."

"My son's been taken away," I mutter reluctantly, "And my girlfriend's left me." I don't know why I'm unwilling to tell him this. I hardly think it's going to make much difference if he knows that I'm a bad father and an even worse boyfriend seeing as he already hates me enough by now.
