I nod again, figuring if I had to do that again my neck would snap. "Good," I mumble softly,"Every child needs to know their father."

"I guess so," I agree, still waiting.

I watch him for a moment, he seemed on edge for some reason."What is it?" I ask.

"I'm just waiting for you to scream profanities at me, slap me, and leave," I admit.

"Getting angry at you won't make Shell not pregnant. Leaving won't get me my son back, hitting you won't make me feel better, there's no point in doing any of that,"

I nod, but I can't shake the feeling that she doesn't want to stay. She probably doesn't.

I move past him, towards the stairs,"I'm going to go change," I mumble softly, but stop in the doorway."Your on the couch tonight." It wasn't a joke this time.

"Bloody couch," I mutter under my breath, despite the fact that it really isn't the couches fault, then make my way over to the cupboard, looking for a bottle of firewhisky.

I sit on the edge of the bed after showering and changing. Sighing softly, I run a hand through my hair. Really think your going to sleep with him not next to you?

The bottle I've found is half empty before I realise this'll probably just make matters worse. But somehow it doesn't really matter. The firewhisky is warm and I'm cold so it's okay.

Wandering back downstairs, I don't know exactly what I'm looking for as I head into the kitchen, mumbling a brief acknowledment as I wander towards the fridge.

I get to my feet without a word and make my way down the hall, pausing outside the front door to try and find a dry jacket. It only makes sense to leave as she doesn't want me here.

It takes me moment to realize what's he doing and I'm on my feet instantly. He leaves your basically loosing him to her. I'm walking quickly down the hall after him, grabbing his arm, my forehead rested against his back,"Please don't go,"

I stiffen immediately, more from surprise than a real objection to the contact, and stop moving straight away, "I'll stay if you want me to."
