Yumi walked up to Maddie's house with Fay in her arms all bunddled up, seeing as there was a fresh layer of snow on the ground. Mia was right behind Yumi with a jacket on and clinging onto Sirius' old jacket. Yumi was lucky to get her out of it. It had seemed that Yumi couldn't get Mia to part with it for even a minute ever since Brett has left.
Yumi had a small present in her free hand and Mia was holding onto another one under Sirius' jacket. After Yumi gave Maddie the swing as a last resrt as getting rid of the brand new one she had gotten, Yumi had been working on the present for Alex since she found out he was born. Yumi knocked on the door with her elbow and gave a weak smile down at Mia, but it wasn't returned.

I set Alex down in his little play pin Rory had gotten me when I hear the door. "Alright tiger cub, stay here." I laugh, tickling Alex. I brush a strand of hair out of my face, walking over to the door, pulling it open.
"Lookie here." I grin,"Hiya."

"Aunt Maddie!" Mia grins and drops the badly wraped present on the ground lightly, still clinging onto the jacket and wraps her arms around Maddies legs. Yumi had to convince Mia that Maddie wasn't going to leave.
Had to do that with almost every single person in Mia's life.
"Hey Maddie." Yumi grins and leans down picking up the presetn. Mia had insisted on wrapping it herself, hence the million pieces of tape. Fay looked up at Maddie with the wide grin that had been plastered on his face all day.

I grin, picking Mia up,"Hey baby girl, wow you got big." I smile, hoisting her higher into my arms,"Come on in you guys." I smile, opening the door. "What are you smiling at, baby Fay?" I grin, tickling under Fay's chin lightly.

Mia grins and stays in Maddies arms. "My birthday in four weeks." She tells Maddie.
Yumi grins and looks down at Fay as he laughs and grabs onto on of Maddies fingers. Yumi walks in after Fay lets go. "How's Christmas comeing along over here?" Yumi grins

"Oh? How old are you going to be?" I smile, kissing Mia softly on the forehead.
I laugh as Fay holds onto one of my fingers,"Quite a grip you got there baby Fay." I smile, closing the door behind them."Pretty good, Ian's out somewhere, the cousins came over and helped set up."

Mia grins and holds up five fingers and hugs the jacket tighter.
Fay grins ad laughs softly as he sees all the decorations and reaches his arms out trying to grab hold of them, even though they're way out of his reach. Yumi grins and brushes some hair out of his face. "You already played with all the ones at home baby." She chuckled softly. "Things are good. Just got our tree up today, and some things around the apartment." Yumi smiles.
"Mum give me Aunt Maddie and Alex's presents." Yumi hands the one box over to Mia's hands. Some many things had changed with Mia, like she had started to call Yumi mum. Mia grins holding it out to Maddie. "Open it."

"Wow, your getting big," I laugh, setting Mia down.
I laugh harder, watching Fay,"Alex is the same way. Can't keep his hands to himself." I grin,"Do you want to see him, you can put Fay down with him." I say, nodding over to the middle of the living room.
I bend down so I was the same height as Mia,"For me?" I shake it lightly,"What is it?"

Yumi grins and walks into the living room and sets Fay down in the play pin and picks Alex up lightly. "Hey's perfect Maddie." Yumi calls over to her still grinning at Alex. She sets him back down and walks back, leaning on the wall.
"I made you the one thing, then, then, then," Mia says tripping ove rher own words, "Then mum took me to the store she works at, and then to this baby store and I got Alex something and it's really cool and and and," Mia stops, then nods grinning.
When Mia let her pick out the present for Maddie, Mia had said 'I want this. It's fluffly'. And it was exactly that. Yumi thought the only reason she bought it was for the sake of Mia. That and to see Maddie's face when she opened it. The other thing was a drawing of Alex and Maddie with Ian in it that Mia had drawn herself. Mia had wanted to buy Alex and huge five foot stufed lion, but she settled for the small one that was just under eight inches.

"He is, isn't he?" I smile weakly, watcing Alex's expression as Yumi picks him up."He's tiny, was undersized and under weight when he was born," I say brushing the hair back off his forehead when she sets him back down."A week old and he already gets into trouble," I laugh.
I open the present and grin,"Wow Mia, you do this?"

"He'll get bigger. I was two and half months early." Yumi smiles looking down at Alex and Fay.
"He's your son Maddie, you expect anything less?" Yumi grins, joking with Maddie.
"Yeah. You like it?" Mia grins up at Maddie then grabs the lion and hands it up to her "That's for Alex."

"Yeah, hopefully. He's still got a little trouble breathing at night," I mumble then hug Mia.
"I love it baby girl." I smile,"And I'm sure Alex will love this, want to go give it to him?"

"He'll get better." Yumi assures Maddie.
Mia hugs her back. She nods, setting the jackets down lightly, and walks over to the play pin and reaches over, with Yumi picking her up slightly, and Mia sets it next to Alex. She grins down at him. Yumi sets her on her feet and she looks at the two babys through the mesh on the play pin.
"Well I was planing on giving this to you when he was born," Yumi said with a small smile looking down at the gift in her hands. "But I got it done as quick as I can." She smiled holding it out to Maddie. Yumi had made a blanket for Alex, with his Name going across the top, and on the left corner a small Eiffel Tower, with 'Espoir' going above it. Espoir meant hope, and knew how much Paris meant to Maddie.

I stop, at a loss for words. I gently take hope of the blanket,"Oh Yumi," I mumble,"It's lovely. I love it," I grin,"I think he will too."

Yumi grins, seeing that she liked it. "Took me forever to get it right, dumb hands don't work anymore." Yumi chuckled softly. "But I finally got it." She smiled, "I wanted to get it just right."
