Chase lay on the couch in the living room, staring up at the ceiling. There really wasn't much more he could do. They really need one of those muggle picture boxes
He sighed, putting his arms behind his head, he needed to get away from home number two so he decied to stay at home number three. Cos home one, was boring. Home one, that's the actual home right? The one with your mum and brothers? Yeah, that's home one.
Home two, was overcrowded. Home two is which one again? Help a guy out here. Home two is Charlie's, and I'm not going there 'cos it's crazy over there. It was true, more family had flown it to check up on MJ. The house was crammed full of people. Kaleb, Destiny, Beth, Keria, Rory, Nate, Noah, Jack, Charlie, Perry, Claire and Jackie.
He sighed running a hand through his hair, So I'm guessing we're at home three? "Got that right, home three."

I make my way through the hall to the door, pulling my jacket on while walking, stopping briefly at the door, intending to yell 'Going out!' to the house at general rather than just leaving, then stop. But going round, like you hate me, is that fair? You're never home anymore, and you haven't been able to look at me since you found out. I sigh slightly, muttering under my breath, "Not going out," and walking back into the living room then stopping with a slight frown as I see the guy on the couch. I start to ask 'Do I know you?' then reflect that's a stupid question as I obviously don't. "Uh...hi."

Chase cranes his neck back, seeing a guy stand in the middle of the living room. "Uh, hi." He says back, sitting up,"Do I know you?" He asks. So you have any idea what a stupid question that is? Shut up. "Er, guessing your Ian." He says,"I'm Parker, er well Chase Parker."

"Yeah, Ian," I nod, shaking off the fact that this guy really shouldn't know who I was, "Chase...right...Maddie's...? Or someone who's broken in and I shouldn't really be having a conversation with?"

He grins slightly, pushing the muggle baseball cap he was wearing back slightly,"Yeah, Chase. Maddie's cousin. Number..er well one of the seventeen well it's about fourteen now but yeah." "And MJ would probably go with the second thing you said but she's got pissy at the moment 'cos she and Row-Row had a spat."

"Pissy at the moment? I honestly hadn't noticed," I mutter under my breath, putting my hand awkwardly on the back of my neck, then lowering it again immediately realising it was a mannerism I'd picked up from Rowan. "So..." I say after a moment, "You just hanging around here for no particular reason or waiting for her? Cos I have no idea where she is to be honest."

"Kind of hard not to, seeing as she's storming around at house number two, muttering obscenities under her breath." He says, tugging on the rim of his cap again,"Well last I saw her, Kaleb, Noah and Nathan had tied her up with duck tape and locked her in her room till she calmed down, figures now they probably went to go get pisssed, or in MJ's condition, she'll drink large amounts of caffeine while they drown themselves in alcohol."

"Uh-huh," I say, deciding not to comment further, "So to clarify...you're just hanging around here because...? Not that I'm kicking you out or anything, just wondering."

"Cos house number two is fulled to the brim with us Speare's children." He grins,"Too much going on over there."

"Fair play then," I reply, "So..." At least he's not tried to and/or threatened to kill you yet.

"Yeah, real crazy over there, came here for a bit of peace and quiet, back door was open, well more like broken, really should have that fixed," He replies,"Not much of a talker huh? Well bet MJ does enough talking for the both of you, god that woman never shuts her trap." And what about you? You need to shut ypur mouth as well, or at least take a breath for Merlin's sake.

"Yeah, both forgot our key, she 'fixed' the door, need to get it repaired," I shrug slightly, "No, not much of a talker," I say, then decide maybe I should say something else as well, "Yeah, guess she does." This is sufficiently awkward.

"Ah." He nods knowingly,"She tries to 'fix' a lot of things, never really works out too well, know she 'fixed' the door once?" He laughs slightly,"Ever tried duck taping her mouth? It doesn't quite shut her up, but it's muffled, so it counts for something I suppose,"

"She threatens me with ducktape, never really thought about trying that."

"See, tables have turned." He laughs,"USe to threaten us with lobsters, never quite understood that."

I laugh slightly, "Yeah she threatens my-" I pause momentarily, not sure whether to say daughter or niece, then deciding lying was probably not the best way to go, "daughter with lobsters."

"God, the poor thing." He laughs, deciding not to comment,"They way she tells that story, poor girl must have nightmares, what's her name?"
|
|
|
Post by Ian Hunt on Oct 14, 2007 19:21:46 GMT
"Yeah, she has nightmares about lobsters," I laugh slightly, "Could be worse though. Her name's Poppy."

"Depends on which story she's told too, the one where they steal her tongue our take her underwater with the mer folk," He laughs, tugging on his cap again,"Like the flower Poppy?"

"Oh...I haven't really listened. The water one would explain a few irrational fears she developed. Like puddles, although that could be my cousins fault, he tells her all sorts of things," I shrug, smiling slightly, "Yeah, like the flower."

"Blame MJ, that's what Rory does, 'cos know her son's now afriad of a pillow," He laughs,"God knows that girl loves freaking out her neices and nephews." He smiles slighty,"Nice name, real pretty."
|
|
|
Post by Ian Hunt on Oct 16, 2007 19:36:57 GMT
"A pillow? How did-...nevermind actually," I laugh slightly, "I didn't name her. If I'd of had to name her, I'd have named her 'girl' or something."

"Yeah, pretty amazing story telling abilities that cousin of mine, course she learned it all from Davey, god bless his soul," He smiles slight, sitting on the edge of the couch,"Sounds like a name I'd give my kid, if I had one. 24 years old and no kid, according to my mum I'm a disgrace, should have started a family back when I was 21,"
|
|
|
Post by Ian Hunt on Oct 17, 2007 18:08:35 GMT
"I'm a disgrace because I have a family apparently, that and I look like I belong on the streets or something...I don't know. Lots of reasons," I laugh slightly, "21's a bit young still, isn't it? I mean, got the rest of your life or whatever."

He laughs,"Yeah, well Nathan and Kaleb both look like criminals and Perry looks like a twichty nervous type person," He says, pulling his hat off running a hand through his hair before pulling his hat back on,"Yeah, bit young suppose, dunno, mum just wants grandkids, who would have thought?"
|
|
|
Post by Ian Hunt on Oct 17, 2007 21:09:13 GMT
I laugh slightly, "Um...that's reassuring, I guess." I blink in surprise, "Grandkids? Why?" Not everyone's parents are as fucked as yours, remember?

"Not really, be afriad if I was you." He laughs. Way to scare the guy Chase. He shrugs,"Dunno, mum's odd like that. Something about wanting to be around to see her grandkids,"
|
|

"I don't scare that easy," I laugh. "Uh-huh...well each to his...her own, I suppose."
