Walking down the hall, footsteps echoing in the empty hall.
Gently pushing open the door. "Mum, are you asleep.."
An ear splitting scream, seeing blood everywhere.
A dark haired woman laying lifeless on the bed..her green eyes lifeless and wide open...her skin pale and glistening with blood...
Another scream is heard as it turns into sobs. "MUM!"
I jerk awake, still screaming, sweat running down my forehead.
My hand rushes to my necklace, gripping it tightly.

"Shit," I mutter, jerking awake at the sound of a scream, and looking across at Maddie to see her awake, but unharmed, "What the fuck? Are you alright?"

"Just a nightmare.." I mumble, clenching and unclenching the sheets around me.
"It was only a nightmare."

"Nightmare." I mumble, bringing my legs up to my chest, trying to slow my breathing back to it's normal rhythm.
