She ignored him, slipping her other hand down his back.

"Get off me," I repeat louder, shoving her away

"Well, well, well," She smirked, "Someone's acquired some self-control."

"Or maybe someone else has lost their touch," I reply coldly.

"I doubt it." She said smoothly, "That kind of touch isn't something you can lose, not even thanks to six months in Azkaban." She drew her wand, not intending to use it, just twirling it between her fingers, "I heard both your parents are dead now. Father hung himself, right? Mother, natural causes. I was sorry to hear that."

"I heard your parents don't want you since you shamed the noble name of Vaughn by getting yourself arrested. I wasn't sorry to hear that."

"Oh, you know what? You know what? That stings, it really does. Because I actually gave a fuck." She rolled her eyes, "You're boring me Christopher. Your idea of conversation is somewhat lacking. What did you say your girlfriend's name was again? Mary? No, Madeline, isn't it?" She doesn't wait for an answer before tilting her head back slightly and saying loudly, "Madeline! Oh, Madeline!"

"I want to meet her." She smiled in a way that would be friendly if it wasn't so mocking.

"No. I want to meet her. I want to see what's so special about her. Madeline!"

"Katharyn," I say desperately, "Please, just go away."

I bite my lip, knowing I should stay upstairs but rise up from the bed anyway, pushing open the bedroom door.

Katharyn's head snapped up and her eyes narrowed at the slight sound of a door opening from upstairs, and she looked towards the stairs, before glancing back at Chris a smirk playing at her lips. She moved swiftly towards the stairs and stood at the bottom, watching the upstairs landing and waiting, smirk still on her lips. "Madeline! Are you going to come and join us?" She called up the stairs, "We're waiting for your company."
