"Don't think that's a good thing Row." I laugh, heading down the stairs to the kitchen. "More grown up then you." I laugh, sticking my tongue out at her,"Ah bugs, I remember those good old days. Pffft. Female infulence, I barely had any of that growing up and I turned out just fine." I grin,"Later Poppyseed, when your daddy isn't around I'll teach you how to wrestle."

"No, me neither, but oh well." I laugh. "You are not more grown up than me!" She puts her hands on her hips and sticks her tongue out back, then grins, "Really?" "Oh God, please don't teach her more violence..."

"Nothing we can do now." I grin,"Am so." I laugh ruffling Poppy's hair,"and yes, just when your daddy isn't looking." I laugh,"How else is she suppose to defend herself?"

"Are not, lemming!" She laughs, "Daddy; you have to close your eyes now!" She tells me. I laugh, "Nice try. Oh she has her ways. She's evil in the form of a little girl." "Am not." "Are too." "Not."

"Have to agree with your da on this one Poppy." I laugh, handing her a small cup of hot chocolate,"Here, careful it's hot okay Poppyseed?" "Sure you don't want anything Rowan? I'd offer coffee but your brother has drank all that was in the house since he's no longer allowed to drink for the next seven months."

"I'm only a little bit evil..." She insists, taking the cup from her, "Thankee." "Yeah, I'm sure thanks." I laugh slightly, "Ah, caffeine, that'd explain how irritating he's been lately...more than usual. Why the drinking ban?"

"Welcome." I grin, lifting her up, and setting her in the chair in the table, grabbing myself a cup,"I can't drink and I don't think it's fair that he can. Little agreement we have, the only agreement we have lately, when I'm not emotional due to the baby or my lack of medication we're at each other's throats." I say quietly, making sure Poppy couldn't hear.

I nod slightly, open my mouth to speak, then close it again, not sure what to say

"It's fine, it's seven months, even less now." I mutter, taking a sip of coca,"Besides, I've been sober for six months now, another seven is nothing."

"Need all the luck I can, made him quit smoking too."

"Yeah, he muttered something about that when I asked if he had a light." "But he smokes on the porch at home," Poppy adds helpfully, "Uncle Scott's special cigarettes." I smack my hand to my forehead, "Thanks for your contribution, Papillon."

I turn around, hands on my hips,"Oh he does, does he? What else does he do Poppyseed?"

"Lot's of things. But Daddy says I have to," she puts her finger to her lips, "About home, because nobody wants to hear about it." "Make me sound like a nazi there," I mutter, rolling my eyes slightly.

I laugh,"Yeah, most people don't want to hear about family troubles and you do not sound like a nazi Row."

"Oh no, according to Morgan I do. And Chris too. Nazi's...secret police...something like that. Sad thing is Poppy listens to her even if no one else does," I laugh slightly. "Is family troubles like when I won't come down from the top shelf of the cupboard that no one can reach?" She asks. "Yeah, that counts."

"So that's where she got that from." I laugh,"Oh boy, how does Ian take that?"

"Yeah," I laugh, "That'd be where she got it from." Then I stop laughing and raise an eyebrow, "How do you think he takes it? Not so good. She likes the top shelf of the cupboard and climbing trees, so he tries to convince her to come down, gives up, starts panicking and/or goes completely and temporarily stark raving mad and get's someone else to watch her for a bit while he goes for a smoke."

"God, Row loves going on about that." I grin slightly then stop,"Figures he'd do that." I say deciding not to comment on him going out to smoke.

"Yeah, I noticed that. She's worse than Ian with putting nonsense into her head. Can tell when she's been talking to either one of them," I laugh slightly, then half-grimace, "Yeah, well, can't really blame him. Know what he's like about high places. And Scott thought it'd be amusing to put the idea into Poppy's head that high places were fun."

"Yeah, I know." I mutter, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear."Well, hate to say it. Scott's right. I glance over at Poppy,"Alright Poppyseed, I want to make you a deal okay?"
|
|

"But Scott's also a-..." I trail off, glancing at Poppy, "And did it out of spite." "Yep, dealio." She smiles.

"Scott, got to love him don't you?" I ask sarcastically rolling my eyes. "Okay, Poppyseed, here's the deal. No more going up in high places okay? It scares you daddy and your uncle, and we don't need to scare them okay?"
