"I really don't like looking back on my past, future's all I have,"

[Arden Patricks]

"Probably a better way of looking at it, really," I nod, shrugging. "It's supposed to be unhealthy to dwell on the past too much."

[Madeline Speare]

"Even more so if it's painful."

[Arden Patricks]

I nod again absently, then shrug. "Could be worse to carry all that pain around though without saying anything. I mean, if you dwell on it too much... but if you just say something once it's usually helpful." I shrug again.

[Madeline Speare]

"Yeah, can't be too good though,"

[Arden Patricks]

I shrug again, feeling like we've been having the same conversation repeatedly for way too long now.

[Madeline Speare]

"Ever feel like you just talk in circles?"

[Arden Patricks]

"Very much so," I nod, grinning slightly. "Ever been accused of being a mind reader?"

[Madeline Speare]

"Actually yeah," I laugh,"Mainly from my cousins but yeah. Sometimes wished I was a mind reader."

[Arden Patricks]

I shake my head, shuddering slightly. "I wouldn't want to be a mind reader... not with all the things that come out of people's mouths, much less what they're actually thinking."

[Madeline Speare]

"Good point," I say, putting my hands in my lap,"And with how most people around here are, some things in their heads may be a bit morbid."

[Arden Patricks]

"Just a bit..." I nod, voice going somewhat thin at the thought of what I might see in some people's heads. I shake mine violently. "Never have liked mind readers much, but I guess I can't see how it would be a fun existence."

[Madeline Speare]

"I knew a few mind readers," I smile weakly,"Swear my Aunt Rose was, and Ian's sister was,"

[Arden Patricks]

"Suppose they can't be all bad," I nod. "Bad experience... and I'm not too fond of having people know my thoughts either." I shrug.

[Madeline Speare]

"Yeah, think I'm happy with just me knowing my own thoughts, even if they on't make sense sometimes,"

[Arden Patricks]

"Maybe especially when they don't make sense...." I nod. "I'd hate for people to hear some of the jumbled nonsense my head comes up with."

[Madeline Speare]

"Yeah, same. I ramble a lot in my head, it's crazy."

[Arden Patricks]

"I ramble with my voice a lot, which is worse," I nod. "Most people's heads probably make little sense."

[Madeline Speare]

"Maybe you and I are just plain crazy in our heads." I laugh.

[Arden Patricks]

"Well, I'll agree with you for me," I grin. "Are you sure you're crazy though?"

[Madeline Speare]

"Have you see my family?" I grin back,"Yeah, think I'm crazy, or at least getting there."

[Arden Patricks]

"Met some of them, yes," I laugh slightly. "Doesn't make you crazy though. I do agree you could be driven there eventually, of course."

[Madeline Speare]

"It's in the genes," I laugh,"Bound to go crazy one day,"

[Arden Patricks]

I make a face at that. "There's a scary thought."

[Madeline Speare]

"Yeah, but what can I do? Stuck with my family and their crazy genes,"

[Arden Patricks]

"That's a really scary thought." I shake my head. "If genetics matter that much...."

[Madeline Speare]

I laugh,"Your a worrier, aren't you Arden?"

[Arden Patricks]

I laugh slightly. "What gives you that idea?"

[Madeline Speare]

"Just a guess," I grin,"Use to being around loads of worriers."

[Arden Patricks]

I nod. "Yes, I worry. Possibly too much, but it's hard not to." I shrug. "Are you not a worrier then?"
