I let myself into Madeline's house, feeling stupid and awkward and worrying I was going to get her in trouble by hiding here. This is stupid, Ian. Very stupid. You want more people to die because of you? You've already got your brother killed this morning. My hands start to shake again at the thought so I push it firmly out of my mind.

I sigh,"Now I do, I didnt use to," I say brushing my hair from my eyes. "I had mum's face strucre, same nose, same high cheekbones, same full lips, and I had dad's eyes, crystal blue mixed with sliver," I say quietly,"But my hair," I look up at the picture,"My hair was all my own."

I half-laugh,"I suppose, it's just." I reach around and pull my hair out of its pony tail letting it cascade down my back,"After I dyed it, I felt different. I was so used to being a blonde," I joke. "As a child I always thought it odd that all my family had this dark brown hair and I was the only one with this bright sliver blonde hair." I smile reminiscently.
