I sigh slightly to myself as I apparate back into my flat.
She was asleep in my arms which was probably a good thing.
I didn't want to have to explain it to her right now.
I sit down heavily on the couch, keeping Kim on my lap, not wanting to let her go, almost overwhelmed with the fierce sense of having to protect her right now.
I guess that comes when you find out you're a full time parent.
You're Mr Gideon Prewett?
Yeah, that's me. I haven't done anything wrong though so you can't keep me here-...
It's my duty to inform you, that Clear Corman was found dead in her appartment this morning...making you, as the biological father, the legal carer of Kimberly Corman-...
Wait, what? Dead? She can't be-...dead! I spoke to her yesterday!
We have reason to believe dark wizards were involved-...
I shake my head to clear it, leaning back on the sofa, stroking the hair off Kims forehead.
She didn't need to know her mum was dead and she was stuck with me for good now, just yet.

I knock on Gid's front door lightly while holding a sleeping Amalia.
It was the weekend and if i wasn't here i'd be on my own in the house with Mia.
That had gotten a bit boring so i'd decided to pay Gid a visit.
"Gid it's me-..." I call softly through the door, not wanting to wake Mia up.

I jump, taking my head out of my hands, and looking round at the door, "Okay, hang on..." I say quietly back, not wanting to wake Kim.
I pick her up and her head lolls sleepily into the crook of my neck as I try and walk slowly so as not to wake her up over to the door, opening it with as little force as I could, "Hey Isa." I say softly.

"Hey..." I say quietly smiling as he opens the door. "...You alright? You look a bit-...i don't know." I shrug lightly, not wanting to move my arms too much in case i woke up Mia.

I swallow, nodding quickly, then stopping myself from nodding again, figuring it was probably unnatural to keep on doing it. "Yeah, I-...I think I know who that was." I say quietly.
