I walk up the flights of stairs to the astronomy tower to look over the star charts, a weekly hobby that might be boring to some but exciting for me.
"Okay let's see, there winter sky chart..." I say as I skim through the piles of sky maps on a huge desk. I check it over to see if there was anything interesting to sky search tonight back home. I flip the map over and accidently knock over the solar system model sending it almost down the stairs.
"Stupid solar system..." I mutter as I stand up to go find the model before it fell down the long staircase.

"Promised I'd bring you here Jessie..." He mutters to his daughter. She's sitting on his shoulders and holding onto him.
"It's as cool as you say?
"Yep..." He mutters with a small smile. Just then a few things fall doown the stairs. He moves out of teh way and looks at it oddly. "Was...that...The sun?" He asksed himself, with a softly chuckle.

"I will never put this thing on the table again..." I say as I run past a guy on the stairs. I manage the stop it before it fell the rest of the way down the stairs.
I walk back up the stairs to where the guy was on the stairs. "Sorry about that. Shelby...Crescent, that's right." I say with a small laugh at myself.

He chuckles "It's fine." He says and takes some of that from her. "Let me help you." He smiles at her, "Jay Chou." He says. "Little monster on me is Jessie." He smiles glancing up at her, only kidding.

I laugh. "Thanks...this thing is always falling apart." I say to him. "Nice to meet you both. Is she your only daughter?" I ask as I start to walk back.

"It takes about 30 minutes to repair." I sigh deeply. "But I'm getting better at it slowly..." I emphasize the word slowly. "That must be nice one kid." I say with a smile. "I have my own mini army." I laugh as we get to the top of the stairs. I place the parts on a desk next to the charts.

"I'll help you, Jessie just wanted to look out the window." He offers. "How many kids do you have?" He smiles. Jay let Jessie of of his shoulders and she runs over to the open window. "Oi, Careful!" He calls over to her wactiing her like a hawk.

"Be careful..." I say to Jessie with a smile. "First off, I'm not crazy, Second I have eight." I say looking at him expecting him to be surprised.

Jessie takes a few steps back, rolling her eyes slightly. He chuckles then stops.
Jay looks over at her with slightly wide eyes. "Wow...Eight?" He chuckles, "Look great for having eight kids." He chuckle still shocked. "You and your husband want that many?"

I frown when he mentions Nick. I was assuming that he was dead since the last time I saw him I was 18. "Well, three aren't his. I was married before Nick and we had a daughter. The other two are my friend's kids since she pasted, she left them to me." I say to him.
I look at all the pieces on the table of the broken model, thinking where to get started. "We're not together anymore. I think he's dead..." I say softly. "So, I'm a single mom of eight kids, or my Henderson army." I say with a slight smile.

Jay looks at her for a moment taking it all in. "I'm sorry." He says softly and rbs her back lightly. "My wife died a little bit ago, so I guess were in the same boat." He says with a small smile trinyg ot make her feel better. "I cna help you anytime you need it. I have a hard time with just her. But eight?" He says. "I'll help you anytime you need it."

"Yes, eight. I honestly want ten now, but maybe that's my kids talking for me." I say laughing a bit. "But sure, that would be nice." I say to him. "So, how old is Jessie?" I ask him as I find the glue.

He hand her the glue and looks back at Jessie one more time making sure she's ok then turns his back slightly. "She's four." He smiles, "What about your Henderson Army." He says with a soft chuckle.

"Well, Jenny and my friend's twin boys, Justin and Dustin are all seven. Zoe is six, Ashlyn is five, Isaiah is four, my twin daughters Hope and Holly are three." I say with a smile.

I smile as I finally get most of the model back together. I check over my shoulder, making sure Jessie was okay. "Sorry, being a mom of eight I tend to watch other kids too." I say to him, as I start on the last part of the moons of jupiter.

"Why thank you." I say with a laugh. I turn around and look at Jessie. I walk over to her and kneel down. "Do you want to look at my telescope? I built it myself." I say to her looking over at Jay and smile.

"Okay then, it's over here." I say taking her hand and walking over to a huge chair. "Okay now if you sit down and look inside right here, you can see a bunch stars that form a picture called Cassieopia." I say to her watching her look into the eyepiece.

"C-Cass...Cassy..." She statturs trying to say Cassieopia. Jay walks over to the both of them and leans against the beck of the chair looking between the both of them, his gaze lingering at Shelby.

I smile at her. "That's okay, if I move the telescope to here, that's supposed to be a big bear." I move the telescope and catch Jay's eye. I smile at him. "Okay, now I know I must have something in my hair or I have grease on my cheek." I say laughing a little.

"He hasn't been around a girl for a while. He's not that good at it anymore." Jessie says still looking through the telescope.
Jay chuckles and looks down at his daughter, up at Shelby, then down at Jessie again nor sure of what to say.
