Briar's eyes widened without her say so and she walked overto the window, looking down. "Are you kidding? I'm not that crazy."

I consider this a moment, then shake my head. "Yeah, me neither. It would be kind of fun though if you knew you wouldn't die."

"It'd also be a rush," Briar agreed, pulling her legs over the ledge.

"Yeah, it would," I nod, leaning out the window and looking down. "But flying's pretty close, I guess."
((Hey! Guess what? I'm dead!))

Briar looked out at the scenery then nodded, "Yeah, once you think about it." {{What? }}

"Still... there's something about being right next to a building that I think would make it different... more thrilling." I shrug, leaning back against the wall and crossing my arms. "My brother is going to reverse haunt me if I do anything stupid though."
((Yeppers. Andra's dead. ;D I'm still going to answer my threads though, just won't be starting new ones.))

Briar half-smiled, "I've never had a conversation like that, the whole 'scaling a tower' kind of conversation." She leaned her head to the side with raised eyebrows, "You have a brother?" {{Aww =[ I'm gonna miss Andra! Haha, atlease you still have other accounts. I think it's sort of funny when I kill off one of my characters.. }}

"No, I don't think I have either," I laugh, then nod. "And yes I do. A brother and two sisters and a nephew. And my sister's husband, I suppose. How 'bout you?" I ask, tipping my head to the side.
((Why, thankee. ;D Yeah, this is the second time I've died. What other characters do you have or have you had?))

"Umm," Briar laughed lightly, "I have a younger brother and a younger sister. I'm the eldest."

I nod. "That's got to be odd. I was the baby 'til I was thirteen, so I've never really had to be all responsible and boring and boring like some of my friends." I grin. "So are they at Hogwarts, or...." I shake my head.
((Ah. Seen them all briefly... didn't know they were you. Most of mine are strays that my siblings got tired of. And I've just realized that my sister Laura's former characters have a rather high mortality rate compared to the others....))

Briar shook her head, "My brother will be a first year next year and my sister, I think, will be turning one in December."
{{Really?}}

"Oh, so that's a pretty big gap," I nod. "You miss 'em?"
((Yeah.... Well, Jake Moore was originally her character, and so was Andra. They're both dead now, and nobody else is likely to be....))

She looked back out at the scenery and sighed, "My brother was like my bestfriend. He was annoying but he always seemed to know how to cheer me up. My parents hated the fact that I loved to do boy things, but that's how my brother and I bonded more." Briar looked back over at her, "Are your siblings here?"
{{I didn't know that Jake Moore died..I'm really out of this whole 'whos dead' thing.}}

I frown slightly at the 'was,' then shake my head. "No, they're both graduated. Except the littlest, who's only three. So it'll be a while yet before she's a gryffy too."
((Lol... I didn't think that anyone would notice or care. And you could check the list....))

Briar caught the slight frown but didn't mention it. "Is your whole family full of lions?" She asked with a slight smile.

"Not quite," I shake my head. "My older sister, I think I mentioned, was a ravenclaw. But most of the rest have been gryffies." I pause. "What about your family? Any traditions?"

"Kind of half and half," Briar said, smiling slightly, "My dad's side were all Slytherins with the exception of his brother. My mom's side was all Ravenclaw."

Briar nearly snorted at that, "Barely. Maybe one or two, the rest.." She trailed off and just shook her head no.

"I see," I nod, then shoot her a furtive glance. "So... is your dad...?" I ask, knowing I'm being nosy.

Briar frowned at the mention of her dad, "We were never on the best terms. He could be a handful but he could love with his heart. He could be decent at times. He had anger issues though, which worries me." It was amazing, she'd never been able to tell anyone about her family except for Cassandra and Shelby. It was good to be able to talk to someone else freely without worrying as much.

"Anger issues can really make bad people out of good sometimes," I nod, smiling sympathetically. "What... what happened to him, if you don't mind my asking?"

"It's fine, he's still alive. I just haven't been to the house in a long time, I couldn't handle it. My mom travels, so he was the only one there. I'll owl him for Christmas with a gift or two for him and my siblings or something," Briar said, smiling half-heartedly. "I was thinking of going home this year though and seeing how everyone was. If it wasn't for the anger issues and..being a proud Slytherin through and through, you'd think he was a saint by the way he acts when he wasn't angry."

I nod some more, not really sure what to say. "If you think you might want to go home then you probably should. I mean, at least... well. You never know when it might be the last time you see them. Not these days. And if he's a good person for the most part, maybe you should just... try and see only that," I shrug. "But at least see your siblings."
((Have to go.... See you.))

I smile slightly. "Helps to let things out sometimes, even to pretty-much-strangers." I shrug, then nod. "You really should go home. See the people you care about as often as you can."

"Yes, Birdbrain," I nod. "I would rather you say that than call me by my full name."
