Briar ran out of Filche's room, her tennis shoes making caltting sounds as she ran. She went through the Great Hall and up to The Astronomey Tower but slowed down to see if Alexandra was there.

I'm panting slightly as I get there, greatly regretting having suggested a race. "What the hell is wrong with me?" I ask rhetorically. "Were you aware that this place had so blasted many stairs?"

"Erm...yes?" Briar said, slight laughter in her voice. She opened up the door and looked inside, "I've always loved this place, not so much the subject though."

I shake my head as I regain most of my breath. "Probably would have helped if I wasn't laughing the whole time, too," I shrug, then nod. "Yeah... stars are great and so's the tower... why we have to chart them I have never understood."

"I have no idea," Briar sighed.
[[Eh, I have to go. I'll talk to you later, bye!]]

"Pure torture?" I suggest, shrugging.
((See you later.))

"Hm... so what classes do you like?" I shrug.

"It's between Care Of Magical Creatures and Herbology," Briar said with a slight shrug of her shoulders. "What about you?"

"Oh, now there's a good question," I say, sitting down in a windowsill and putting my chin my hands. "Um... well, school's been kind of screwed up lately... Ancient Runes is probably my favorite though... there's no real practical use, so it's basically just fun." I roll my eyes and smile. "You like living things, I take it?"

Briar nodded and walked over to a windowsill, sitting down on the ledge. "I like to learn about living things, they fascinate me," She said, smiling slightly. She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, "Ancient Runes isn't bad."

"You're taking it too?" I ask, surprised. "My class is tiny... most kids go for Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies... not that those are bad." I shrug. "I think the best Herbology lesson I can remember was when one of my classmates managed to drop the mandrake they were repotting, and the thing ran off... we had to blunder around in silence trying to find it, and some of us were in there for hours because we didn't know that it had been found."

"Eh," Briar shrugged, "I like to see what classes are good. Really? That must have sucked."

I laugh. "Are you kidding? It was fun. I mean... well, okay, I missed Potions, but so did six other people, so Slughorn let us make us up. And dinner, which was not so fun... but we were crawling around in the greenhouses for hours... it was great."

Briar laughed, "Okay then. I take it back, it was fun." She looked outside breifly before looking back over at Alexandra. "So...what are your hobbies?" She asked randomly.

"Ah... let me think..." I look up at the sky. "Well... flying, talking... chasing little persons... reading." I shrug. "You?"
