[Ariel Anderson]

She nodded,"Hmm Mozart would have to be one of my favorite composers. You know, he never made a mistake when writing the music. It's amazing how he transfered into the romantic era into the boroque."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"Wow..." I laugh slightly, quite impressed. "Are you just making that up, and if not, how'd you know that?" I ask, grinning.

[Ariel Anderson]

Ariel laughed,"Nope, not making it up. I just know alot about the history of music. Music is the one thing in this world that I definately know."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"I'm impressed," I nod. "And I feel rather stupid for not knowing more about my favorite music." I laugh slightly.

[Ariel Anderson]

She let out another laugh,"Don't feel stupid. I learned it in the muggle world. Took a class on it."she admitted,"Well it was about the history of music up until the early 70's"

[Fitzy Patricks]

"I see," I nod. "I should go into the Muggle world after graduation... find out more about them."

[Ariel Anderson]

"You should, it's pretty fun. They actually do things without magic...it's strange, but it works."

[Fitzy Patricks]

I laugh slightly, shaking my head. "Well, of course they do things without magic. That's what makes them muggles."

[Ariel Anderson]

She laughed,"Yeah, I know. It's just wierd...they do their own dishes and everything."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"Yeah...." I shrug. "So do some wizards, probably."

[Ariel Anderson]

"Probably, you just don't see it very often."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"Yes... most wizards tend to use their abilities for anything they can," I nod. "Kind of sad, really."

[Ariel Anderson]

"Yeah,"She nodded in agreement,"I've never done anything like wash my own dishes though...my parents used to do that and when I came here house elves did that."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"House elves are extremely odd creatures," I say musingly. "Or maybe that's just the abused ones, I don't know. I've never encountered one here, or anyone outside school whop treats their house elves decently."

[Ariel Anderson]

"Oh, really? I love house elves. They are quite amusing, especially to talk to. When I got pissed at my parents I'd talk to our house elf and she'd talk about them with me. Of course no one knows that besides you now."

[Fitzy Patricks]

I grin. "Very rebellious of you. My parents would've... well." I shrug, glancing down at the ground. "Arden used to talk to our old house elf, though," I recall, frowning slightly.

[Ariel Anderson]

"Mmmm I see. Well, my parents never found out."She sighed,"Sometimes a house elf is far much better than nothing at all."

[Fitzy Patricks]

I nod. "Didn't have many friends?" I ask. "And... are they fairly intelligent then? I always wondered."

[Ariel Anderson]

"Eh, not really. People tend to piss me off, so a friendship when I was younger was out of the question. I thought I could be independent."Ariel smiled,"Well, some are. I mean you have to be kind of smart to be able to read and such. Our house elf, I do believe, was quite intelligent. But some are kind of spacey and out there."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"Just like people, really..." I murmur, somewhat bothered. Then I shrug. "You were antisocial? Sure don't seem like it." Yeah, well neither do you. Weirdo.

[Ariel Anderson]

"Mmm, I guess you're right. They are like people."She said tilting her head,"Oh yeah. I used to hate people. They were so stupid and judgemental. I came to realize that I wasn't all that smart either. Plus I was doing what they were doing judging them before I got to know them. I guess my trips away from home gave me a sort of path to self discovery."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"Very... impressive," I nod, raising my eyebrows. "Though I would have to agree that most people are pretty stupid and rather judgmental."

[Ariel Anderson]

Ariel laughed,"Yeah, they are rather judgemental and stupid. But some people have reasons behind it, for others it just comes natural."

[Fitzy Patricks]

I shrug a bit, then frown. "What reasons could they have for being stupid and judgmental?"

[Ariel Anderson]

She shrugged,"Take the Black family for an example. Their children were raised to be judgmental, so that's how they are. Same thing can go for the Malfoy's. They are stupid for the fact that they haven't steered away from that way of life."

[Fitzy Patricks]

I nod, still frowning slightly. "I suppose I see your point. It still seems that individuals should be responsible for rising above that, but if it's all you ever know...." I trail off, then shake my head.
Isn't that just making excuses? To what extent are you responsible, and how much can you blame on you're raised?

[Ariel Anderson]

"But still, then you take the two other Blacks, Sirius and Andromeda. They were both raised to believe in that stuff and both of them branched out. So I guess...I don't really have a point. People are responsible for their stupidity."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"Mm... maybe...." I shrug. "I guess it's a mix, really. Everyone encounters different combinations of influences."

[Ariel Anderson]

"True. What about you? Any influences? If you don't mind me asking."

[Fitzy Patricks]

"Any influences for the way that I am?" I ask, immediately trying not to think about any of the images that come to mind. I shrug. "Mildly psychotic pureblood parents but a strangely decent and strong-minded little sister... mixed with lots of books that had good lessons and a mudblood friend who had strange ways of thinking about things and then recently wound up murdered. That's my influences." I shrug again. "What about you, if you don't mind me asking?"
