I sat down in the grounds, smirking to myself. Revenge was ever so sweet. Revenge was a dish best served...cold. No, so wrong. Revenge was a dish best served with partial and possibly permanent crippling. I almost laugh again, I remembered the loud crack of the spine as I slammed him up against the tree when he was already weakened, and then that glint of fear and panic in his eyes when he couldn't get up again, when he couldn't move his legs anymore... That was revenge. Now a way to finish him off would be most welcome... I stop smirking at the memory, pausing, thinking...how to finish him...?

"Why are you all like this?" I ask quietly from behind him.

I look up immediately. I didn't like people being around me when I wasn't prepared for it. I only hesitate a minute, before standing up, smirk back in place, "Like what?"

"Like this! Why are you all so goddam driven to try and kill each other?! People are dying enough as it is."

I don't answer, putting a finger to my chin as if thinking, "Goddamn driven to kill each other...I like that. Goddamn. Godforsaken. I like both of those...interesting..."

"You just like everyother stuck up pure blood here." I growl. "With their noses stuck so far up their arse they can't see what's infront of them. Killing isn't the answer, it makes things worse. No good will come of revenge."
|

Post by Logan Andrews on Jul 14, 2007 18:21:27 GMT
"Oh no, I'm not just like every other stuck-up pureblood around here. I'm much worse." I smile nastily. "Now does this charming little social meet have a point?"

"Yeah I can see that." I say narrowing my eyes."You must have had a real fucked up childhood to turn out the way you did. What's happened? Mummy and daddy didn't love you enough?"
|
|
|
Post by Logan Andrews on Jul 14, 2007 18:27:36 GMT
"No. If you must know, daddy killed mummy so Logan killed daddy," I smirk, "But enough about me. You haven't had the smoothest childhood yourself. I heard you were the one that found your mother's body. She screamed. Oh did she scream."
|
|
|
Post by Madeline Speare on Jul 14, 2007 18:30:14 GMT
I clench my fist angerily."Don't you dare talk about my mother." I growl "My childhood was still far better then yours, I had a family who loved me, unlike yourself."

"If you're intending this conversation get to me, you're wrong. Dead wrong. Oh the irony, dead wrong. Funny." I say, not laughing.

"Hilarious." I say standing my ground."What do you have against Chris anyways? He try to kill you I'm guessing?"

"I'm blonde but I'm not stupid." I say."Your eyes." I note."They're just like his were when he first got here. Cold, dark, untrusting. I could go on."

"Have you ever heard the term numb?" I grin nastily, "Numb. It's my favourite thing. Besides irony. Oh how I love the irony. If you get numb, you're invincible. And I do like being invincible. That's how we all were. But oh no, Chris had to spoil all of that. And now the others aren't anything at all. Just rotting. But I'm still here, I am invincible. I am numb. And I do not care. He lost that long before he got here. Don't compare me to him. We're nothing alike anymore."

"That's a lie. You care more then you let on. Your just like him. Your scared, and your upset at the world, at yourself. Everyone feels lost now and then, I know how it feels. Your not invincible Logan, no one is, no matter how much they wish they were. Everyone has a weakness, everyone has a flaw. It's what makes us who we are, it's what makes us human."

"I have no weaknesses. I can do anything I want. You can stand there and tell me otherwise for as long as you want. Because I know it's all lies. Is that what you told him? I bet you made him even weaker. Now that is funny." I say, still not laughing.

I flinch slightly. He's still hurt from our fight with Gin... "He not weak." I say again,"He's gone through so much and still manages to keep going. He may not want to but he does. He's not weak."

"Weak, pathetic...I don't know where he got his morals from. Oh no. Didn't raise a wand against me. Should have. Maybe he wouldn't be drugged up in the hospital wing right now if he had."

I clench my fist angerily."Just leave him alone, he's suffered enough." I say trying to keep my voice level."We're done nothing to you, whatevers happened is in the past. You need to let go of all this anger Logan."

"Well, thank you for the advice Marilyn. I'll be sure to write into next week's column to let you know how it's working out. But he hasn't suffered nearly enough. It's an awful shame, really. You haven't done anything, but well, the quickest way to Chris is through you. I know that much." I smile in an almost friendly way.

"It's Madeline. Mad-dee-lynn." I say knowing too well what he could do."Why do you hate him so much? You two were friends, best friends if I recall. Can you really hate him that much?"
|
|
|
Post by Logan Andrews on Jul 14, 2007 19:16:02 GMT
"I am aware of your name. Honestly, don't you read? Ask Marilyn. Deary me. Oh yes, best friends. Through thick and thin, good and bad, out by sixteen or dead in this scene, friends for life. Friends-are-fake. All of them. And one day they'll try and kill you in your sleep and then you try and forgive."

Post by Madeline Speare on Jul 14, 2007 19:19:04 GMT
"You just don't know what real friends are. I'll agree with you Chris isn't someone who seems like a 'friend-type.' but he is. Now at least, I don't know what he was like before and in all honestly I don't care. We've all done things we aren't proud of, but we can't hold that agaisnt someone."

"But I think our definitions of better differ dramatically. Chris was my friend when he was capable, when he was strong. Now he's neither of these things, now he's a coward. And a traitor. There's a difference between being a murderer and a traitor. The first, I admit to, the first I am proud of. The second is what he is and what I resent."

"What is it about killing that you enjoy so much? What makes it so appealing to you? I have tried again and again to understand it but seeing as I'm not a murderer I can't."
