I walk miserably down the corridor on the Creature induced injuries floor.
I pass a group of chairs outside a ward; it had been right there, I'd been sitting right there when they'd told us.
I could still here the words in my head, talking to her mother and father, to my mother and father, not to me though.
I could hear them saying it, We're sorry, we've lost her.
And I could hear the crying, I could hear the crying so loud in my head.
And I could hear, worst of all, I could hear the screaming.
I could hear her screaming. No, Remus! It's me! Remus, please!
I hadn't meant to kill her.
I really hadn't.
I hated being what I was.
I wish I could take it back, not be me anymore.
But no.
The screams, the crying, the words, would forever haunt me.

"Remus are you alright?" I ask walking up to him. I was visiting my cousin who fell off her broom, but basically kicked me out because I wasn't 'pure'.

I jump and tear my gaze away from the group of chairs.
They almost seemed to be mocking me by how empty they were now.
Pathetic Remus, mocked by chairs.
"Yeah, fine." I say quietly. "What are you doing here?"

I frown slightly. "I can't remember. Just...here. I'm just here, thinking." I say absently, letting my eyes stray once again to the chairs, where I'd been sitting.
Letting the words float around my head again, letting the screams echo around my mind again.

He'd brought all this up again, even if he hadn't meant to, and suddenly it was all I could think about.
After 3 years of pushing it to the back of my mind, now it was all I could think about.

"Stupid Peter." I say again. "We were talking in the dorm. He told me about his muggle girlfriend, from the summer." I pause, "She was killed by death eaters so he couldn't be with her anymore." I shake my head, unable to continue and say what was on my mind.
