Pulling my hat down more over my ears, I keep walking in the courtyard. It was early. Least it was for me. Not being a morning person after all. Plus I hadn't had my coffee yet so I was a tiny bit cranky.
Passing by all the younger students I make my way to a bench in the middle of the courtyard.
Most of the first years are making snowmen or snow angels, something I hadn't done in a while.
I smile, looking out at the field where the snow laid untouched.
A glare reflected off the pure white snow, causing my eyes to tear."Stupid sun," I mumble.

I walk into the courtyard since I cancelled my class for the mornings. "I'm not gonna pass my chance with all this snow." I say with a smile. I notice all the younger students and remember when I was a student. I notice Maddie sitting on a bench, so I decide to go over and talk to her.
"Hey you like all this snow?" I say as I set down all my planetispheres and couple of star charts. I notice a tear on her cheek when I turn to face her. "You okay Maddie?" I already talked to Ian about the twins, how one had died and the other survived, thinking that was the cause.

I glance up, rubbing my eyes with my sleeve.
"Hiya Shell." I grin, looking out at the snow, carefully this time."Good to see you again, it's been way to long." It had been, Shell had graduated about four years ago, and sadly I'd lost contact about a year ago. "You kidding? I love the snow."

"I know, you don't have astronomy do you?" I ask her with a grin. "I cancelled my classes so I could make a snowman." I say to her laughing now.

I smile weakly,"No sorry. It's not my thing." I tuck a loose strand of hair back behind my ear."God, wish the rest of my professors canceled class, if only I was as lucky as your students."

"It's alright... I think the other teachers are mad, because I heard that some of my students were complaining to the other teachers about having class." I say with a laugh.
I look at the younger students and smirk a bit. "Watch." I lean down and make a rather huge snowball and chuck it at a hufflepuff boy right at his face.

"Well it's their own fault for having class!" I laugh, leaning back against the bench.
I grin as she chucks the snowball. It misses the Hufflepuff, and he looks up frantically trying to see who threw it.
"Wow," I laugh,"Poor Badgers."

"Well, I like them. I have no real dislikes. Most hufflepuffs skip my class." I say to her. "I heard that you had your babies..." I trail off, remembering that one had died. "I'm really sorry about it Maddie. I wouldn't know what to do if I lost either Holly or Hope." I say noting my own twins.

"Doesn't mean you should thrown snowballs at them,"I laugh then stop as she mentions the twins. A lump rises in my throat but I manage to nod slightly, seeing as words escape me.

"Maddie, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned it. Ian came over a few days ago and told me about it." I say softly, wanting to put an arm around her. Instead, I place my hand on her back.

I look out at the snow a bit longer, Aaron. I shake my head, fidgeting with the locket Charlie had given me to put a picture of Alex in."It's fine," I mutter quietly, sitting up straighter."Want to see him?" I ask after a moment.
